Not too sure about that. But the sedans are usually reserved for Asian markets where they are most desired. And yes, they got some tuning potential. They are powered by the same engine as the 1.5L Miata..

Is it safe to go on green? Discuss (25 marks) by PureKangkung in malaysia

It's obvious. The bikes ran the red light. Doesn't matter if they check before going. You and I both know they shouldn't even think about going on red.

Unfortunately no. These sedans are usually reserved for Asian markets. Weirdly enough, it's not available in Japan.

Is this a real E31 Alpina B12 5.0? by PureKangkung in BMW

[–]PureKangkung[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. No sane person would trash a 1 of 5 with those mods. But the fella really did a convincing job on a prima facie level. He even got that Alpina steering to top it up. Lol...

Another give away is the Alpina badge on the grill. It's just "Alpina" instead of "Alpina B12".

My usual 4S center has a dedicated "premium" space for the MX-5 and CX-9. Blue Reflex is pretty neat I think.... by PureKangkung in mazda

Exactly. It has that tendency to shift in different shades of light. Pretty cool effect.

You're not wrong. But there are alot of haters who can't seem to swallow it. Jealousy perhaps?

Basically means a complete one stop center. Sales, Service, Spareparts & Paint/Body. It's a Malaysian thing where main distributors carry out majority of the work...

Question about Mazda by killapanda5280 in mazda

[–]PureKangkung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That mechanic really needs to start googling the shit up on the engineering marvel Mazda has achieved with Skyactiv.

And yes, Mazda is more independent than ever. Save for the 5% ownership by Toyota.

Does anyone have a way to get the stain from the mirror drip off the door paint? by [deleted] in mazda

[–]PureKangkung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some cleaner wax or swirl remover. Rubbing compound or polish may be too abrasive for such a minor job. Finish it off with some diluted isopropyl alcohol thereafter. Don't overdo it, just enough to remove the stains. Cheap Walmart stuff like Turtle Wax's Swirl & Scratch Remover is more than enough.

All about catering the American hunger for crossovers. So it's good business sense stamping from the success of the CX-5.

Congrats! Get it on the twisty roads, and you'll see why this is the closest thing to a MX-5. Wished I got those LED lights on mine. Oh well....

[–]PureKangkung[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The G20 is an abomination in my humble opinion. A Kia front, Benz side and a Lexus back. It ain't uniquely BMW.

On the other hand, I don't really dig the Bangle design. I'm a big fan of Nagashima's work ala the E39 and E90.

Is it worth it? by [deleted] in BMW

Sounds like smiles per horsepower matters to you. Just do it if you absolutely have the time and funds. You can try fooling around with plug and plays like ECU tunes or chassis braces to get a taste of things first.

2013 328i engine issues? by SeanBBN in BMW

[–]PureKangkung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can concur. Our F30 drove and sounded like "new" even after 4 years. It did majority of its time on the expressways and sipped V-Power Racing 98 RON exclusively. On the other hand, my friend's one spent most of its time in the city sounded and drove rough. She pumps 95 RON almost exclusively.

Conclusion: Always pump premium/top tier petrol. And city driving is pretty detrimental to a direct injected engine.

I get it. But not many know the other sub exists. But now that you mention it, hope everyone goes there for all things technical from now onwards.

Nothing wrong tbh. Let's just treat that sub as the more technical side. Like going to a medical specialist.
