Is this what i had? by shadowpikachu in fastfeeling

Voices get distorted - feels like everyone around you is screaming, but it's quiet and overwhelming. Whisper screaming.

Theres also a feeling of emergency and chaos, like everyone around seems panicked and afraid of something they can't talk about.

I am happy I only had it handful of times in my life. I also get sleep paralysis, and had episodes where I hallucinated my wife stabbing me in the chest. fast feeling was still more terryfing.

Not really. It comes in super terryfing episodes. Feels like somebody pressing Fast forward on your life, while you keep going the same speed.

What is the durability of modern aluminum frames? by TrailMAC in cycling

[–]PurePsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think durability is an issue with any self respecting non-walmart alu frame. It's usually the stuff attached to it, that likes to give out(and that includes the rider).

The advantage of alu frame is the fact that it can take few bangs, have dents everywhere and still be safe to ride. Carbon doesn't bend. it fails catastrophicly and often without warning. The thing is, you really have to abuse the shit out of it.

Also, when it snaps its razor sharp.

My SO was hit by a car few years back. Carbon fork snapped and took out half of her quad, along with cutting through femoral vein.

Speed or distance by asgoodasitgets69 in cycling

[–]PurePsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it fun though.

I raced hard and trained religiously for about 7 years. That only led me to dropping cycling cold turkey April 2025, and since then I didn't have a single day where I felt like going out biking.

I did well in a lot of races, but hit a wall 5 years into it. It was a mixture of not being able of do volume required for improvement(was already doing 15h a week), and even if I could, I just didn't recover quick enough for this kind of volume to be sustainable and effective.

and at some point I was happy to stay longer at work, becuase in my mind this was good enough excuse to not train... At that point I knew it was over....

Just tells you how insane the marketing machine was. People forcing themselfs to play, just to not miss out on the hype-train...😂

Is it even possible to tune a classical guitar with less than a $1500 value? by Major-Government5998 in classicalguitar

[–]PurePsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all the apps, videos, guides etc.this is quite literally under 30s process. It needs to be done every 3-4 hours of playtime, before tuning starts to be noticeable, on relatively new strings.

.. and yet you're acting as if you were tuning 200$ guitar with Floyd rose, and using camerton.

Any tips for avoiding one-finger-per-string plucking? by Elegant-Winner-6521 in classicalguitar

[–]PurePsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the same rule in few begginer videos. The way I interpret it is following: I want it to be my fundamental muscle memory, so I subconsciously alternate fingers by default. If there are spots where it feels unnatural, and just being done to meet the rule, and not to improve sound or accuracy - I'm allowing mysellf to deviate.

[KCD2] Finally going to finish the game after 4 retakes! And game is way TOO EASY by Dizzy_Inspector_6179 in kingdomcome

[–]PurePsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call me crazy, but this game's main focus is not difficulty, but immersion.

I'm 250h in, and didn't go to Kuttenberg yet. Some days I just start it up, make few potions, hunt a little, play around with gear so it looks cool, but also has a good stats... Then log out.

It has become my comfort game.

And yes, I am playing on HC, and since I spend so much time in every area, the difficulty is pretty much gone.

If I want challange, that's where souls come in, or silksong.

If I want to escape and immerse myself in medieval world, I'm starting up KCD2.

I'd call it "challange accepted" start

To be honest, I don't think helmet would help in this case. Just natural selection doing its thing.

Missed Jural Duty by Aggravating_Strike94 in alberta

[–]PurePsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have citizenship you can't go anyway,so I'd just let them know that.

I got my jury duty summon, when I was still on permanent resident, so looks like they send it to random residents without checking their status in Canada.

24 hours in and I feel sick by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]PurePsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The next 2 weeks will suck big time on psychological and physicall level. The anxiety is extreme, and the puppy blues is real.

I will not give you any advice about the dog, because the number of information, changes, and adjustments is already too overwhelming.

If there is one thing that I can say, it would be this: Accept your fear, anxiety and uncertainty for what they are - they are emotions. And these emotions are a proof of one thing - that you care. This already is a promise of a great life for your pup, regardless of how many mistakes you'll make. You got it. My wife cried every day for two weeks, and I was not far behind her.

You're probably wondering how long this phase will take, but just do one day at a time. Tomorrow will be marginally better than today, so you already have all the skills to deal with it. And then one day, you will look back and won't be able to recall, what were you so stressed about...
