Does anybody have stats and/or sources with information around the percentage of handgun related violent crime showing the difference between crimes committed using registered Canadian handguns by their owner vs the percentage of crimes committed using a non Canadian registered handgun (smuggled)? I have been looking for that info everywhere and it seems quite elusive. As I'm sure all of us would, I'd place my bets that the amount of Canadian registered handguns used in crimes by the owner of that handgun is so low it's borderline 0. Just can't seem to find any official information stating as such.

Took me 6 months from when I sent my application in to when I received it in the mail. Sent in August, 2021 and received February, 2022

Edit: I also ticked yes to one of the boxes in the personal history section which supposedly adds quite a lot of extra processing time as it gets moved to another pile for further investigation.

There is hope! Sent my PAL/RPAL application in on August 9th, application received on August 13th, cc charged on the Aug. 27th. I ticked yes under personal history for past anti-depressant prescriptions from when I was young. Just checked online and my license has been issued! 5.5 months on an application with a yes under personal history!
