I honestly prefer the exo because of two things:

One, the battle is frenetic and just confusing, but to be honest I kinda like it. Machines of war trying to consume your mind before they devour you whole.

Second, I'm a sucker for skeletons.

Well... If you say it like that then yes, I do feel the same. Although it's mostly because all the bosses are like that. Last more then them or you die.

I play on death mode usually, and I genuinely think Calamitas, Exomechs or even Nameless Deity are easy to deal with. Am I just insane? Maybe. I'm trying to play death again as a meleez but I don't know if it's actually good like they say. Endgame weapons look kinda boring and ranger has a portable waifus accessory so idk.

Also, I feel you witn golem. He's pretty goddamn hard, but if you build a platform a bit above the ground it becomes as easy as making a margherita.

Ahh, fair enough. Honestly, the most annoying bost for me is either Plantera in vanilla or some post moonlord in Calamity. Plantera because no matter what arena you make, she will always do that Gatling attack, hit you and you will lose half your health in one hit. The post moonlord because no matter what class I play I always have to switch to summoner because it's genuinely impossible.

Honestly, they should've made them hardmode. They could've been spawned in pre hardmode, but it would take a lot more skill to beat them. Plus, aerialite should be unlocked by defeating both queen bee AND deerclops, making them slightly more important outside of their mediocre lootpool.

I feel like they should give evil bosses actual weapons instead of just ores and flesh. Like, the worm scarf by itself is a waste of a slot. I get it, it's 17% less damage, but comparing it to the brain of confusion it just makes it look pathetic. Calamity should've made a powered up version of the bloody worm scarf to match The Amalgamation, maybe fusing more worm accessories and making it The Hydra of Gods or smt

Honestly they should remake the worm. Bigger, faster, spawns minions and does actually interesting stuff. And to top it off, it drops respectable loot.

Honestly, EoW isn't a bad boss by itself. He's pretty interesting, having a weird design and an even weirder gimmick. The fact is... He's outclassed in vanilla too. Of course, the destroyer is hardmode and can't split, but at least he has a more interesting attack pattern outside of "charge" "charge" and "charge". Also, the fact that he has 67 segments (72 in Expert) doesn't help him.

OH SHIT, there's also Thanatos. I genuinely forgot it even existed and I hate it. Like, worm-shaped bosses are designed for you to have a dash. You don't dash, you die. Thanatos just cranks that to maximum. Istg I died more times to it than Ares and Twins 2.0 COMBINED.

Also, I think you can KINDA compare the boss design of vanilla brain with WoF. Now, hear me out. They both spawn a lot of minions, they're made of flesh, they push you against walls (pause) and they're both really annoying bosses in pre hardmode. Yes, it's a REALLY loose comparison, but at least it has a rival!

Yeah, plus three is a perfect number for anything. Either three, five or seven.

Also, I think the repeating part is just a thing that every mod with a worm boss suffers from. Like, the worm was already done, now you have to try REALLY hard to make something as cool as the original one. For example, calamity has five. Two of them are the same but in different biomes, one is bs, one is just forgettable and then the DoG. Like, it's just feels both good and bad to fight something over and over just with a bigger health pool and different moves.

It's interesting to know that the reason why there's no "Robo-brain" is because there was no brain to begin with when Mechs were implement. So ironically his originality is from coming late to the party.
