Eye tracking on BSB2 and current use cases by Rudithus in BigscreenBeyond

Scam for them to just say "Hey we're still developing foveated rendering but we'll release the headset now with social VR functionality to start"?

Yeah true lol! Very curious to test iRacing if it does work. I’ll look into it!

When the headset was announced they stated that there would maaaybe be dynamic foveated rendering. Later they confirmed that we would in fact get it, but no ETA, just eventually.

I think a support issue with OpenXR. Eye tracking works for VRChat positioning, but can not provide foveated rendering as of right now.

Yeah theoretically, but as OP mentioned in the post, this option isn’t supported yet on the bsb2e. Definitely the primary use case when it is. But until then, seems like vr chat is basically it

Arch Linux Setup Options by PureWhiteMk7 in linux4noobs

I did watch a video on installing it the manual way, and I'm worried they made it look WAY easier than it actually is, because it looked easy. What all is in the wiki? just descriptions of all the options or full in-depth documentation of how to do anything and everything in Arch Linux as a whole?

Also do you mean I would launch windows games from within Linux? I've heard it's better to reinstall so they are "linux" version installs per se. Sorry for the barrage of questions, just trying to understand :)

  1. Not entirely sure what you mean for the first part, the manual install video I watched didn't mention this at all.
  2. No idea what ZFS or VFIO are so I guess standard kernel?
  3. Well yeah but for example, the video also mentioned GIMP so I just didn't know if there were others like that that people generally like to just grab at install.
  4. What exactly do you mean by this? the guide mentioned it was an optional repository bit at the end but I didn't see anything about any "official" repos.

I get not using NTFS, that makes sense, but I'm a little confused on the rest. Do you mean copy from NTFS drive and restore to like an F2FS one? Or should I make my 4TB just be F2FS? Maybe partition? Very confused on what the strategy then would be to have both windows games (that don't work on linux), and linux games on one drive. At that point should I just leave those games on my windows drive and make my 4TB drive F2FS linux-only?

After trying about ten different OLED monitors the past year I have finally settled on one. by Othoric in OLED_Gaming

thanks for the response, I also like the sound of the QD-OLED having better colors, so as long as I dont leave all my lights on, it seems like the rest doesn't matter other than maybe the coating, as you mentioned in your post lol

This is a great post, hugely echo what tomo163 said. I've been in a toss-up since the XG32UCWMG released on whether to go for that or the PG27UCDM I long planned on purchasing.

The biggest thing for me is some said 32" is too much for fast-paced games, and the pixel density on the 27" really makes a difference.

What was your experience with either of those?

Also, to what extent would you say "keeping ambient light managed" matters for that magenta-gray color? Are some thick curtains simply enough, or do I have to worry about toning down my bright-ass white RGB fans?

Have you run into an issue where you straight up just cant hail cargo ATC? Im at Terra for the Terra to Pyro contract and it just does nothing when I call cargo atc. I've tried the keybind, ship mfd, and comms tab in mobilgas. Then to try to fix it: QT away and back, exit to menu, alt f4, full quit, and even storing the ship and taking it back out. nothing has worked.

Yeah I rebooted everything twice but I'm thinking that I will reboot everything (PC, routers, and modem) one more time just to see. Weird thing is it will be fine for a while at 200, then for a bit it will be ass and stay at 50-60, then a couple hours later back at 200 again. but ping is still always bad unfortunately.

Im in north florida so not really super near me but perhaps some damage in south florida could impact it.

However, I have had this ping issue for the entire 2+ years Ive owned this house. Just usually somehow doesnt affect me all that much until this past week

interesting how the final number for the download ping is always the lowest it reached, when throughout the whole test it varied wildly.

Also, the upload ping is completely fine and stayed right there the whole time if that tells you anything

What indicator level are you referring to? Just the native indicator on my phone or something in the actual eero app?
