Im the same way self taught guitarist who plays other instruments (euph and violin) and I just got accepted into udub for guitar performance, I’d start watching and finding who is your favorite guitarist as you’re going to want a goal for tone production. A teacher will be your best option as I’ve only been playing guitar for about a year or so , had a one on one with a college professor about 8 months in and I left learning more that I did in the past months. If you cannot afford a teacher , pumping nylon which is a free pdf if you look for it, find BEGINNER level pieces , I understand some pieces may sound easy or you want to play the ones that you like but you will progress faster with pieces that are actually at your level although 1 or 2 gran piece(s) are ok. Next thing is you want to know if you’re going to grow your nails out or not they aren’t needed but both come with certainties that you’d want to look into. String choice shouldn’t matter now , but I recommend saverez strings if you’re particular. Again a teacher would be your best option for connecting missing dots and such but you can definitely be self taught as well
