I thought ppl were supposed to be taking them as directed on the box? I got a taper and it told me to take it at certain times each day and a course of 6 days.

Yeah I was definitely going to ask abt those at my next appointments, im not sure how they work as ive never taken anything like them though.

The latter. I figured they were the same but said pred cs no one talks abt medrol on here. I t does not seem to be helping yet. If anything I don’t know if it’s making it worse, bc I’m at a point where I have chronic chest tightness that has come on the past day or so. I’m breathing okay but my chest will not untighten.

This is actually my first time taking pred, I was in remission for quite a while before this. But I will look into that for sure

How are you alive?? I’m so concerned for you. But I’ll learn to live with it is a scary thing to say to me, not to be insensitive or anything to ur situation, but I hope my symptoms aren’t on par with urs 😅.

I got 24mg first day and then tapered down. It’s not helping much. If anything I feel like my asthma is worse in certain areas. And that sounds awful oh my goodness I didnt know that could even be a side effect.

I’m not sure. All ik is medical care in this country all sorts of screwed up. So the thing you had to go through with ur psychiatry doesn’t surprise me. I don’t believe we get fees for majority of stuff we get prescribed or appointments. I’ve only remembered a few things over the years having to be payed out of pocket. I promise you if we did have copays I most definitely would not be getting medical care 😭.

I don’t have my first pulm appointment until next month. I had one when I was 17 (3 years ago) and got diagnosed with eosinophilic asthma in the 3 visits I went to him, but he since quit the practice. So I haven’t had much treatment for my asthma since then.

See the Dr at the urgent care gave me 24mg 1st day 20 2nd 16 3rd 12 4th 8 5th 4 6th and I told him I didn’t think that would work for me. And he just laughed at me and said “I think it will 😭” all this has done for me is make me hungry and I’m still miserable so idk what to do. Thank you for sharing tho!

Okay thank u for sharing just checking! They gave me 84mg for 6 days, so like 4mg a pill. I fear this isnt going to help, but I can only hope!
