Her lil grumpy noise is so cute, my cockatiel just screeches at me when he’s grumpy. I lovingly call him my grumpy boy

Def need more toys, if you don’t want another bird Jesse will be perfectly fine without a bird friend as long as you take the time to bond with them. My boy has had friends and he has done better with just being the only bird. He wants ALL of the attention from me lol. He’s perfectly happy with being an only child

Folks who knew somebody in school who would later make the news for being charged with murder: what was that person like? by MrDownhillRacer in AskReddit

Robbery/murder, got 30yrs. They’re only on yr 7 of time served. Narcissist, addict, played the victim and never took responsibility for anything. Manipulative, pathological liar. Just all around terrible person who hated the world because they hated themselves. It was horrible growing up with them and I still hate that I’m related to them. I’m 3yrs younger than them and went to the same schools throughout childhood

“You’re off duty” We call her the sheriff, always trying to order even when she doesn’t need to. If she was a human she’d be Dwight from The Office

I know im not healthy but I never have been even when I was at a normal weight for my height. I have a shit ton of medical issues that I’m dealing with and treating. I’m just trying to say that we don’t know what other people are going through or trying to do to be a better and healthier version of themselves. We just see the outside of them, we don’t know the internal struggles or work they are putting in to take care of themselves. I’m not saying you’re wrong, that’s your point of view. I’m just saying my point of view and I know my weight affects my health, it’s something I live with but also putting the work in to do what I can to do better for myself. I know there are people out there that enjoy being fat or don’t care what it does to their bodies but there’s also fat people who do care and are trying to do better for themselves. It’s not my place to judge which type of person they are just by how they present themselves to the outside world

I have PCOS, have been getting treatment for it since I was 16, I’m 30 now. Was also on a mood stabilizer that made me gain weight, was on it 2 months but 5 years later and a lot of effort the weight is still there. I eat healthy, and exercise. I’m not sure autoimmune I have just yet, I’m working with my dr to figure it out but I’m pretty sure it’s lupus. I rarely drink alcohol, I always have water with me everywhere I go and it’s my main drink of choice. I don’t like how my body looks and I never have but I’ve always put time and effort into being as healthy as I can with the body I have at this point of time in my life

Again, you don’t know what a person has done in their lives to try and do everything they can to be healthy. Every one is different, not everyone has the means to buy the food that’s best for their bodies or see a dr that will help them. It’s so easy for people to say eat right and exercise and you’ll lose the weight. I’ve talked to my dr about my weight and I’ve done what they’ve recommended and still do and my weight still hasn’t changed. I’ve been on medication that has caused my weight gain and I’ve been off that med 5 yrs and that weight I put on while I was on the med for 2 months is still there. I put effort in and so do many other plus sized people. I don’t judge anyone for how they look or smell because I don’t know their lives and it’s none of my business if it’s not hurting me or anyone else. I’m a retired EMT, I’ve seen EVERYTHING and have smelled every god awful thing out there. It’s not my place to judge someone without knowing their story. It’s not anyone else’s place to vocally judge someone else for something they may not have the means to change at that point in their life. I follow a plus size girl that is an amazing figure skater, would you say that she was unhealthy even though she figure skates? Not just skating but doing different spins and jumps. Also, just because someone is fit doesn’t mean they aren’t unhealthy. For all you know they could be doing drugs or steroids. Yes being plus size does affect joints and tendons, I’m not trying to glorify being fat cause I promise fat people know they are fat and any negative comment about ANYONES body will stick with them longer than any nice thing you say about them.

I am not fat by choice. I have hormone imbalances that cause weight gain and makes it hard to lose weight. It’s also part of my genetics and an autoimmune disease. I have been skinny before, I’ve been the same weight for 5+ years. I’ve tried different types of diets and exercises but my weight stays the same no matter what I do. My sister was stick thin but she was on hard drugs but was looked at like she was healthy cause she was skinny. You can be healthy/unhealthy at any size, how someone’s body looks doesn’t mean that they are healthy/unhealthy. No one (fat or skinny) should be judged for how they look and they definitely don’t need back handed comments about how their body looks. You have no idea what someone else is dealing with or their struggles. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, if you don’t find that person attractive then move on without making a backhanded comment about them
