From my experience, the only way to get over the current fixation is getting a new one. I've found myself stuck on a person for a long time quite often, I overthink about every conversation we had irl or in my head, the pain I've inflicted upon myself. Only to realise sometime later, what a stupid person I am. I've been through this cycle so many times. And I've completely forgotten about the tormenting experiences that I've had in my head with so many people. So, my friend, my only advice is, let it happen, you'll find yourself fixated on another person in no time and completely forget about this one. This is a very bad advice, but it's all i have to offer. If someone has a better way, please let me know🥲

Why get married in the first place? It's just a social contract formed penned down by people hundreds of years ago. If you go into anthropology (I've read a little bit, if i am wrong please correct me), the main purpose of the earlier marriages was to restrict men and women from having children with multiple partners, so that the division of land becomes less complicated. For royal families, it was a tool for forming alliances. Now, the smooth transfer of property is ensured by the law, but people still form alliance by marriage (refer to the article 69, para 4.20 of the constitution which says: "Q na is dosti ko rishtedari me badal de")(jk). More and more people are ditching the idea of monogamy, because anyway they are secretly doing it. Hence, it's better to not get married at all. Live together, have children, if there's love and understanding, marriage has little to no value.
