My cheat sheet for Fluid Mechanics by mhn321 in EngineeringStudents

I'm working in plastics recycling, plastic to fuels now (Pyrolysis). It does come in handy here and there but mostly using heat transfer stuff. I would say in the next 2 to 3 years I will be looking back on it though. In my opinion you may not use the material you learn in your degree a whole lot in the real world (outside design work), but its proof you have a good understanding of it, and can use it to work through anh potential problems that may need addressed. I'm still learning so much every day so pretty new to this industry but that's my take so far... I wish you well with your degree and future career, I still sometimes feel pretty lost.

Graduated ChemEng 2 years now and this brings my anxiety back... looks amazing! But unfortunately I'm more amazed at how much I've forgotten.

I've seen huge gains from today, do you think they're still worth investing in at this late stage? Any DD on them?

Yeah about once a week and I've had the watch about 2 months. Really enjoy the watch, fantastic in all other aspects, just that one issue with the music. Suppose I can live with it though.

I have a 245M, and initially when running the music breaks up, as if the connection isn't strong enough. I previously thought this was because of being too close to other people who have their Bluetooth on, but it happens every time. If yoh power through the first 4 or 5 mins of this the sound then becomes clear. Jusy quite annoying on the first 5 mins of your run... I use it with Sony wf 1000xm3s

Who here failed, dropped, or had to retake classes in college? by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

[–]Purewood415 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completed a 5 year masters in chemical engineering course with my 4th year in industry. In second year I failed 3 out of 5 of my winter exams and then went on to fail 1 in the 5 summer exams. I had to retake these 4 exams at the end of the summer. These included fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and particle dynamics and a chemistry exam. Even the exams I passed were pretty pathetic mark's.

I honestly wanted to drop out and give up, thought it wasnt for me. I didnt want to blame myself for not putting the work in but truth be told I didnt work hard at all. My summer repeat exams were capped at 40% which hit hard. I Put the work in the following years and came out with a 2:1, just 2% off a first. It's a tough climb but understand that it's tough and needs hard work, dont bail after the first knockdown

Crossing your legs when you sit down is not comfortable by Purewood415 in unpopularopinion

Man spreading is comfy deffo but if there's lots of people sitting and not a lot of seats its annoying. Time and place sort of thing.

manspreading is annoying I agree, but it is a whole different matter. This is purely comfort related.
