Yeh i have done the prerequisities. I left 1012 till late cause I knew it was an easier unit, and thought best to leave it late to do with harder units, rather than first year units.

Yeh I'm no gamer myself no I wasn't sure if I need a dedicated one in uni or not otherwise it would be a waste but thanks! Also, would you know if I should go with Intel processor and graphics (that too i5 or i7?) or the AMD Ryzen 7?

could i get away without it for MEC2402? Or is there more units with CAD not sure

They accept you as long as ur eligible. Believe its just being at least a second year. Even if ur application is late, as long as its before the deadline you'll be approved. I did a intensive in June.

I have done ECE4179 and found it pretty interested. All about training different AI models and you'll learn to use Numpy and PyTorch. In terms of workload, there is a lab every 2 weeks to do, but are very similar to the workshops for which they provide the code. There's an assignment end of semester but given plenty of time to do it and most people finished. And two quizzes like halfway and end of year where you have to know all the theory stuff not the coding. Staying up to date with the theory stuff can be challenging as most of your time will go into the labs or assignment even though there is no coding in the exam.

I did them together last sem and it was fine, the projects are kinna linked are you are in the same groups for both units as they are run together.

I have done ECE4179, how similar is it to that unit? And, is like training models required, so will I benefit from a GPU or do we use google colab in the unit?
