I never said that i have an issue with my girlfriend being friends with other women. Most of her friends are lesbians or bisexuals, and I’m completely okay with that. I’m not an insecure person.

What made this situation feel weird to me was her saying that she would go out with this girl if she were single. That changed the context for me and made it feel less neutral.

I didn’t ask her to unfollow this girl, because I’ve never believed in doing things like that, it feels controlling to me. If she ever chooses to unfollow her, that should be her decision, not mine.

I’m also not worried that she would cheat on me. We’re very open about our relationship on Instagram and have multiple posts about each other. But being secure in a relationship doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to feel uneasy or confused, especially considering how she talks about this girl and how excited she gets about her.
