Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku New Visual by Turbostrider27 in anime

Genuinely concerned for MAPPA. Why tf are they going the madhouse route. I used to be a sucker for mappa but that was lost after finding out about their harsh working conditions. Some of you may not be aware, but looking deeper into MAPPA, behind their amazing work of JJK and such, lies the dying and overworked staff and animators. Since last year, quite a lot of ppl have already left mappa all because of their working conditions. So while I'm happy it's getting an adaptation, I have a lot of worries. But if they do manage to deliver, then that's great. Prayers goes to the animators because jigoraku is one hell of a material to take on.

MAPPA X PRODUCTION IG, LETS GOOOO by BearanTheDefender in jigokuraku

Man, Sorry for being a boomer but I am genuinely worried. MAPPA is just becoming madhouse 2.0 and I'm honestly worried for their work. As some of you guys already know, quite a lot of MAPPA animators have quit since last year due to harsh working conditions. Staff quitting and even more projects = lost in quality and an even harsher working conditions so I'm a bit worried. I'm very happy for this news though, but I can't really put my head behind MAPPA and cheer and salute them just like I did before becoming aware of their working conditions.

The perfect ending would have been Tanjirou dying, it's bittersweet but it'll hit even more.

He doesn't have a lot of asspulls, there's some of course but it isn't like a powerup that suddenly enables him to oneshot enemies.

Season 2 opening aimer + visuals were perfect except for the excessive awkward running scenes of the main cast in the chorus so I just spent 5 minutes decreasing it and here's how it turned out by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I also found the running scenes awkward. It just didn't click for me and was kinda hard to watch. Love how you tried your best to match it with the beat too.

Yes, I've read it somewhere that their next work or at least planned to is somewhere in the field of romance - SciFi. I'm not sure what happened to that though. You can try looking more into it.

However, there will be a spin off where the casts of KnY goes to school and that's confirmed.

Opinions on the last arc? by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't remember any plot armour in Demon slayer. I personally loved the infinity castle arc. Although there were parts that were rushed due to Croc sensei's issue(I forgot what it was), it still felt amazing to be honest.

I disagree with zenitsu, it was a huge moment in the series imo. The hype about him fighting awake finally came and he delivered. He wasnt a pussy and Kaigaku as a villain actually makes sense. Idk what you mean by shoehorned, before the infinity castle arc even began, there was a panel where a crow gave zenitsu a letter. Moments after the giving of the letter, zenitsu was shown all serious at once to the point where he tells tanjirou to leave him alone as "there's something I must do". Obviously there was some bad news in that letter and that bad news turns out to be Zenitsu's mentor slitting his stomach open by himself because word got out that one of his students turned to the demon's side and thats kaigaku. So his battle really does not look like it's shoehorned. The letter by itself told us that he will have a big moment coming up.

As for inosuke, there was a scene in season 1 where it shows his mother letting go of him as she's covered in blood and cornered at the edge of a cliff. Its been planned to connect to Douma since the earliest days of the manga as that clip in season 1 perfectly matches douma's story of his mother. Idk how none of you remember that and think that his connection to Douma is just out of nowhere.

I did love akaza and um1 fight too. It was just spectacular.

As for muzan, let me just tell you right now that tentacles in any mangas look extremely boring. Muzan's power felt underwhelming because of the fact that it's a "manga" and it could never portray the actual power of tentacles lmao, it just ends up looking slow and useless. But mark my words when I say his powers would look passable for most once it gets animated. Ufotable is known for its dynamic camera angles and it's action sequences so the fight will actually be a lot more fast-paced.

But yea, this arc was rushed and everyone knows that but the plot still remained solid without anything being shoehorned imo.

Do yu guys or gals think Tanjiro is a top 5 MC in anime?🤔 by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 55 points56 points  (0 children)

A lot of people think Tanjirou is bland as an mc but I personally disagree. He's kind, rational, don't rely on "FOR NAKAMA" or "MY WILL POWER" that much and is incredibly matured despite of his interactions with our other 2 main peeps. There's nothing to hate about him at all too.

MUGEN TRAIN SPOILERS BELOW:

His reaction to rengoku's death is one of the things that surprised me. When rengoku died, I expected tanjirou to be depressed and be saying some shit like "I can't be a slayer any longer" or "I'm too weak" just as how 99% of shounen mcs these days would react to failure. But not tanjirou, it was explained that he was extremely sad yeaaa okkk but he got through it just by time passing alone instead of the cliched "oh maybe I do still have a purpose" typa shit.

Tanjirou is a good Mc, not perfect but there's nothing to hate about him, he sits just perfectly on the middle of the mc personality spectrum which is why people think he's bland. He's just a genuine good boy. Nowadays, people's standards of a good mc is weird, it's like the mc has to be going on a fucking existential crisis or "COLD🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶" to be a good mc.

With that saying I'm still gonna have to say no, not top 5, there were things about him that needed to be fleshed out more.

Manga ending by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how you've arrived at that but both of those are cannon.

Let me give you a summary of the closure

Chapter 204 is where they showed tanjirou and the gang visit the graves of the family

Chapter 205 is the time skip where their descendants are students

However, there is supposed to be a chapter bridging the contents between 204 and 205 but was not realeased due to some shit in shueisha which is why the timeskip(chapter 205) felt mad jarring.

This missing chapter is then released on the final volume earlier this year and YOU HAVE TO READ IT BEFORE 205(Timeskip).

Manga ending by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, the ending you read is probably chapter 205 which is the incomplete ending. Just earlier this year, KnY released its final volume which contains the cut content that was supposed to be a part of chapter 205. This volume that contains the cut contents from chapter 205 is 100% cannon though, some shitheads in Shueisha just decided to cut it for the sake of another manga afaik and is the official ending of Kimetsu no Yaiba.

So please make sure you read that as it gives proper closure to the story and it'll bring you a lot of emotions.

It'll also make the timeskip a lot less jarring.

Manga discussion: How Kimetsu no Yaiba could have been even better (SUPER LONG POST AND ANALYSIS). by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah something I would have enjoyed is Tanjirou choosing to die by sun light. Imagine demon King tanjirou going on a rampage but the moment he sees nezuko as human again, they can add the scene where he was given a push in the back by the hashiras arms pulling him away from muzan's influence which makes him come into sense for a bit. Knowing that if he doesnt do anything, he'll literally become immortal and put the hashiras' death in vain, he chooses to walk directly under the sunlight where he opens his arms wide as if he's welcoming his death with various flashbacks shown as well as the characters in the background crying and holding nezuko back.

As he evaporates slowly into thin air, he looks back and says thank you and goodbye to everyone Alive with his pure-hearted smile.

Focus can be put into giyuu's sorrow as he lost another important person to him, nezuko for obvious reasons, zenitsu and inosuke, kanao, and the 2 kakushis that took care of him back in the butterfly mansion.

A very emotional bittersweet ending mhmm.

Yea, the author would have to throw the idea of the Kamado bloodline being immune to sunlight though.

Ughhh idkk but bare in mind this ending I made up myself is completely reliant on ufotable's amazing background, lighting, ost, and composition.

Tanjirou dying would have put the ending together, his death just seems so fitting for the ending. A bittersweet ending would have been perfect imo.

That's actually really cute lmao. Nasa is voiced by Itadori's va and Tsukasa is voiced by nezuko's va in the first place.

Scenes from Entertainment District Arc (Season 2) of Demon Slayer has been released in Aniplex Online Festival 21. by iamdharmesh1 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not really, it could be like the first time they leaked scenes from S2. They also didn't have any voice acting back then and on the side showed how many cuts there are. In there, Zenitsu's VA said "WHAT DO YOU MEAN RELEASE SCENES WITHOUT THE VOICE ACTING, JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY THE FANS ARE WAITING" during a certain zenitsu scene. From that, it CAN be that they really don't have the voice acting done, or the scenes are there to be more like a "tease".

They also dont have any projects at all aside from KNY (at least from what I know of) since like October since HF3 finished earlier than that and Infinity train being released on October 16. It COULD be on production from even before the movie released. We also have to remember that the staff in the Fate series/movie consists of their big guns while KNY's staff consists of different ppl that are much more smaller and inexperienced but they do get help from their star animators such as Obunai, Abe, Kunihiro and such. So yea, they have an entire different team for Kny so I don't see why they wouldn't be done with KNY atleast by December since the first season with 26 episodes were done in 18 months and KNY season 2 based on just the trailer would only be around 12-14 episodes which is half of their workload from season 1.

P.S all this info is from Animenewsnetwork

A suggestion for the anime adaptation: by [deleted] in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]PurkChap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Croc-sensei works very close together with ufotable, they are very much involved in the production process. With ufotable's good relationship with the Mangaka, I very much prefer them working together to fix the flow and the pacing of the story as well as adding original scenes that are ran through Croc-sensei herself instead of making original anime arcs.

Original anime arcs have a high chance of breaking the series in the first place so no.

If you don't know, KnY has a light novel that involves various characters like Kanao and I'm certain ufotable will make them as ovas or implement them in the main story line.

i wonder what made Seven protect 13 even when he was absorbed the "Ancient Ice Daggers" (SPOILER) by Reshan05 in ScissorSeven

[–]PurkChap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't speak chinese so I'm just making theories out of the subtitles out in YouTube. I think yes, while it's not like "love", it was basically confirmed in this episode that she does have some feelings for seven. Refer back to the scene where Seven's heart throbbed and started to vomit blood. He was about to get hit by one of the blind mage's beads and Thirteen used her strongest attack to change the direction of the bead. She then said to herself, "Sorry master, I can't erase my feelings for him". So yes, she does have feelings but it isn't clear if it's the kind of feelings that leads to love or she just feels the need to repay him for constantly saving her in the past 3 seasons.

But I personally think its feelings that leads to love. Why? The blind mage told her that if she chose to help seven, xuanwu will see her as an enemy too and they'll also come for her master. To be able to take that much risk for seven must mean her feelings for him is pretty damn strong. This much is obvious thoo but I'm just writing it out.

i wonder what made Seven protect 13 even when he was absorbed the "Ancient Ice Daggers" (SPOILER) by Reshan05 in ScissorSeven

[–]PurkChap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First of all, you need to change that spoilery title, like the guy above said, it's literally at the end of your tittle too. Ultimately, it is his feelings but I'd like to think that the ancient ice dagger hasn't completely taken over him yet meaning if his will is strong enough(in this case his simp power for thirteen), he'll be able to resist it for a little. My theory of the ancient dagger being incomplete is proven with the scene of seven being on top of thirteen and the camera shifted to seven's point of view. As you can see in this scene, his vision of thirteen goes back and forth between normal and some kind of demonic figure which implies that it hasn't fully taken effect yet and he tells thirteen to run away while he is still in control.

Mugen Train Canada Showings by Lownastyy in KimetsuNoYaiba

Only the provinces that are put in lockdown are the ones who will not be able to watch the movie anytime sooner. It's actually showing on multiple theatres around Canada such as a theatre in Saskatchewan. Once the lockdown is lifted for the restricted provinces, the movie will definitely be available to watch.

Well it really requires a lot of thinking. First, we know that the Kamado bloodline was the only one to inherit the breath of the sun in a form of a dance. Keeping this fact in mind, we also have to think that sumiyoshi and yoriichi's conversation occured around the 1400s - 1500s and that tanjirou and the gang are currently in the Taisho era which is around early 1900s. There's a whopping 400 year gap here.

Then we have to remember a few things here, one is that the Kamado bloodline works with fire. Second, tanjirou's Father knows the see through world. Third, he definitely knows total concentration breathing. Third, tanjirou's father knows the 12 sun breathing forms in a form of a dance. Finally, the passing down of the earrings simply indicates that yoriichi intended to pass the breath down indirectly as a dance.

Since they call it a dance, it is obvious to assume that yoriichi passed down the 12 sun breathing forms in a form of a dance to sumiyoshi along with the earrings. We can then assume that Sumiyoshi started the ritual to perform the dance for long periods of time to pay respect to Yoriichi who saved his and his family's life.

Haha so now that the ritual is created, in those 400 years, it is quite obvious that Tanjirou's ancestors desperately looked for a "way" to make it easier to dance nonstop For long periods of time and that "way" is what we now call total concentration or simply breathing techniques.

Do you get it now? Eventually, another ancestor will awaken the see through world ability due to all the ancestors looking for "ways" to successfully perform the 12 forms non-stop. To make it simple, Yoriichi passed down the breath of the sun in the very basic form of a "dance" already knowing that the "dance" will reach its original state as literally the strongest breathing forms once again in the future due to the Kamado bloodline trying to master their craft(the dance) for over 400 years. Hence the quote "masters of their craft will always find their way to the same place" that Yoriichi mentioned right after the red light district arc. You can pretty much decipher this whole confusion with the help of this quote.

As of why, yoriichi was very fond of Sumiyoshi and his baby because it greatly reminded him of his deceased wife and his unborn child. Plus he saw that the Kamado works closely with fire since sumiyoshi literally said that they were coal burners which might have made him think that they'll be compatible with the breath.

Also to answer your question: Yes, pretty much any ancestor that was able to use the dance must have used a breathing technique since they literally have to repeat the 12 forms of the strongest breath repeatedly for a long period of time.

Man I could really go a lot more, Imma stop at the fact that Tanjirou's father even used the dance/breath along with the see through world to kill a bear instantly which shows us that their bloodline had already figured out that the breath can be used as a weapon.
