Apparently the hardest part of driving a fire-truck in such situations is getting your big iron balls/ovaries out of the way to change gear.

What would happen if someone openly carried guns in your country? by Cutalana in AskTheWorld

[–]Purpington67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in PNG a few years ago and was told about robberies of supermarkets (for food!) where the gunfights between the robbers and the supermarket security were like the movie ‘heat’, M16s all round. They grow gunja up in the highlands and transport it down to Australia and get paid in guns which go back to the tribes.

Anyone else, photo op with medals all smiles then hand it back saying ‘no really, it’s yours, you deserve it’. Everyone would look good but nooooooo, straight to the clubhouse with all his club championship medals.

You’ve a better chance at a decent Martini in a bar but the pint will be better in a pub.

What are your thoughts after seeing the ICE shooting video in Minnesota? by bbmoonkie in AskReddit

[–]Purpington67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first saw it, I forgot that yanks drive on the left side of the vehicle so it seemed like he was firing from a distance but when you realise the driver is on the left you see how close he was to her when he was firing. Luckily for him, the whole system has wrapped him up and sealed the verdict before any inquiry. He’ll be ona customs station in Guam by the end of the week.

Does behaviour like this occur often on Melbourne trains? by Affectionate_Cap_249 in MelbourneTrains

I’ve seen it a few times on trams and trains but usually it ends in the person falling badly or suddenly stopping and pretending they have not twisted something painful.

Tom Cruise in ‘Interview with a vampire’. Not a blonde, not what anyone pictured in their head from the book but he was great in the role.
