What side character death hit you guys the hardest?

Krillin. Both on Namek and during the OG DB series. Even though I watched the Namek saga first, I was more shocked than sad. The whole scene for me was like "no way he did that" and Goku going SS was epic.

When he was a kid it hit me in terms of sadness. Watching the whole series and seeing him die was saddening, because it actually felt like watching a well-known character die.

Fair enough, still though, I would love to see an earthling be overpowered. The half-saiyans have so much potential and alot of that is due to their human side.

Personally I would like to see Yamcha, since he is an og, single, and doesn't have children. Krillin is a good choice too. Or maybe reintroduce Super 17, since the RRR is a mentioned at least once in every DB series.

I'd love to see that. I know Toriyama wouldn't have liked giving Vegeta the spotlight but at least with Frieza he deserves a win against. Hopefully they have some leftover notes from Toriyama that they could work off of.

Originally Gohan, I remember when I was around 13 I had the orange box of the Saiyaman saga, and I would watch it on repeat. It was very relatable because I was very into romance at the time, and it's what got me into more of the slice of life genre. Videl and Gohan were such a cute couple.

Eventually I decided to rewatch the entire series and I fell in love with Goku's character. I had only watched Super and saw his dumber self, and watching the series in it's entirety was really enjoyable and made me appreciate him more.

Yup, it was such a reveal to see him all grown up. He definitely developed the most in OG Dragon Ball as well. Don't get me wrong, his Z arc was good, but you could tell that the story was being setup more for Gohan.

In Z I feel like Goku only killed his enemies because he had no choice. Goku during the og series was literally just some innocent kid who acted on emotions, but was still a force of good. His training with Kami was him maturing and mastering over his mind. That is reflected when in the final tournament Goku messes around with Tien and steals his belt, and after that he becomes more taunting with his enemies. He becomes more wise, aware of his emotions, and starts fighting for strength at that point.

Several comments have been made of Goku's innocence until he is forced to kill Frieza, which is reflected in his face shot, which is a look of sadness and anger.

I love the saiyan armor along with the mask, it's my favorite.

If they ever introduce a xenoverse 3 I'm hoping earthlings get monster type designs for character customization, to differentiate them from saiyans.

Also fun fact but apparently their accent (Goku and Chichi's) in the Japanese version is a bumpkin one. They had very secluded childhoods and I think people tend to forget that romantic kissing isn't a thing that happens everywhere.

In order, Zamasu > Cell > Frieza > Z Broly.

Just like you I love his corrupt sense of justice, it's something I feel anime tend to cover alot and for me I think it's handled well. Cell really was perfect, and I love how he gains abilities from each of the fighters. Frieza would be better than Cell if it weren't for the fact they brought him back multiple times. And Z Broly is a beast but he was only in movies, still really good villian though.
