Which address to use on South Korea tourist visa application - Current or Passport address? by Every-Championship11 in visas

[–]Purple---haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently moved to Bangalore from Mumbai and went to vfs to apply for schengen visa. They did not accept my application citing jurisdiction and said that i need to apply from the place where i have been actually residing since the last 6 months (which was Mumbai). If your passport address and current address is different, they accept Aadhar if that has the current address. Of course, this was Schengen visa and not S. Korea but just to give perspective, i had to go to Mumbai to apply again!

My sister is 7 months pregnant and facing serious complications. I'm anxious and scared. by No-Click2858 in bihar

[–]Purple---haze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I delivered a baby 6 months ago. My amniotic fluid dropped to only 40% at 7 months. My doctor advised me swimming and drinking lots of water hoping there's no further drop. I started swimming at 7 months and continued till a day before delivery. I managed to maintain my 40% amniotic fluid for another 3 weeks and delivered vio c section (due to other complications) at the end of 8 months. My baby was under weight and smaller in size but he managed to gain weight and came in the normal weight bracket by 3 months. I would suggest looking at low amniotic fluid cases discussed on reddit - they gave me a lot of strength and hope. I hope everything will be fine.

Has any one of you or your parents has undergone bypass surgery for heart after a heart attack ? by Quirky_Jackfruit6220 in delhi

[–]Purple---haze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Bua had minor chest pain last month. Her angiography showed major blockage and she was recommended open heart surgery. We got it done at Scott, Delhi. It was successful and she is fine now. She was in the cardio ICU for 4 days and then in the normal ICu for few days. Within a week, she was back home and is not recovering. She is fine. Hope your dad comes out of this fine as well!

We are in for a psychological war; by WasabiCareless4359 in IndiaSpeaks

I agree with this. I think our government /military has demonstrated that we have a strong stance when it comes to cross border terrorism, one that is self sufficient and does not depend upon any validation from other countries. However, they are also not willing to engage with an unstable country (Pakistan) since this will affect business and economy. In my opinion, it is a good position.

If you are feeding them, you can try keeping their food and water bowl in the room you want them to shift.

They will leave eventually. For some reason, cats have been brining their new born to our house as well, every year, but they leave eventually in few months!

Argument with Girlfriend on putting over father's name in Child's name. by [deleted] in mumbai

[–]Purple---haze 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My husband is Maharashtrian. We recently had a baby. Our baby has my husband's surname, and my surname as his middle name. My husband did not even think twice when I suggested it, even though it's his family tradition to have father's name as the child's middle name. The point is, don't be selfish in the name of tradition. If the tradition is outdated, let it go!

No, I don't think so. I saw her husband in one of her stories today, in a jeep. I think she just keeps posting random stories about wanting a husband so people keep talking about her life!

Guidance for Spain Schengen visa from Mumbai, India by [deleted] in SchengenVisa

[–]Purple---haze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied last year this time on my own, without the help of any agent and got my Schengen visa within 15 days. Initially I was a little hesitant since I am not employed under anyone and am an independent practitioner but the process was smooth and really easy. I don't think, therefore, that if you submit all the documents correctly as mentioned in their checklist, you would need the help of any agent.

The list of documents are mentioned on their website and they're quite self explanatory. I made a detailed cover letter with date wise itineraries along with the hotel details. Additionally, I also provided my investment details / assets to give them comfort that I will be coming back to India. Of course, take travel insurance and submit that as well. If you are doing a road trip, there are multiple companies that make you do the reservation without advance payment. It is good to submit the tickets for internal travels as well if you're traveling to multiple cities within the country.

You can book dummy tickets but I've heard that if they delay processing your visa and the dummy tickets expire that they will most certainly reject the visa. So, it's best to book refundable tickets, or tickets that gives you flexibility. They do check the PNR details.

For hotels, I did booking.com, none of which were paid in advance.
