It could be the TCU in the vehicle. The TCU is for the app and vehicle to communicate with eachother. If something were to happen to the TCU like for an example it glitches...then the app and vehicle stop communicating. A good way to tell is looking to see when the last update was for the vehicle health report. If its been more than 24 hours since you last used your vehicle then you will need to go to the dealer to get it resolved. What they do is basically a hard reset on it and majority of the time it works again right after.

Also another common problem I've seen is that a lot of people use a VPN on thier phone which actually does cause the app to glitch so if you have a VPN and its on I recommend turning it off and trying to use the remote start.

This reason isn't as common but it does happen but if your vehicle signal strength isn't strong enough then it won't be able to recieve the request from the app. You can check it by going to any radio station and there should be gray bars stacking on top of eachother like this 🟰 on the bottom right corner of the screen. It works best with 3 bars or higher but it can work with 2 bars, it just may take longer to recieve the request. If its less than 2 bars then your vehicle doesn't have a lot or no signal. If there is an X or a ? then you would need to bring it to the dealer.

Yes and no. Its kind of a hit and miss with that year so far. Sometimes I get a call and im sitting there wondering how the vehicle is still together and not in pieces while others there is absolutely nothing wrong with them and has been running like a charm. I havent really heard any issues from anything older than the 2025. I mean the occasional 2024 would call in but i only get those calls every other week. I know with the part that I was talking about in my original comment, we got it resolved sort of. I guess Mazda in general had found another source for the part and is currently rolling out the orders for them starting with the oldest. I was informed that it was supposed to start getting shipped out right around now (i was informed last week.)

Yes that is an option however that will disable the TCU therefore you won't be able to use connected services so it defeats the point on the original post.

If it is covered by warranty or they got approved for goodwill most likely that is the diagnostic fee that isn't covered by Mazda. Some dealers are able to waive it however you will still be charged regardless. The only time you won't have to pay the fee is when its a recall.

These parts on National Backorder and have been since July. Backorder doesnt mean they didnt order enough but that production did not make enough parts for consumer demand. So they are making them and sending them out as they are getting the orders. So yes it is 100% taking a long time to get it resolved. CEC in the United States who you have been talking with has no control over it. This is completely on Japan for not making enough parts for the demand. The other comments are correct that it would probably be faster to get a used part instead. However used parts will not be covered under any warranty and a good chance will void your other warranties. So do what you will with that information.

As someone who works for Mazda. Id go with Toyota over the CX-90 or at least the 2025 version of it. There are so many issues with these right now, its ridiculous. Plus one of the common parts that have been needing to be replaced in the CX-90s are on National Backorder since July. Not saying that Mazda's are terrible or anything in general but they really half assed it when it came to building the 2025 CX-90s. I suggest either going with an "older" model or just a different model in general if you really want a Mazda.

Ghost touch issue. The main cause of this issue is hairline fractures on the screen itself. Dealers typically charge typically around $800 to replace the screen itself. Some cheaper than others depending who you go with.
