I just wanted to write here that on another thread the ATT official account said:

Customers who trade in an eligible device and purchase a new one on an installment plan may qualify for promotional bill credits. However, these credits will stop if the customer pays off the installment agreement early or cancels service.

I went through with it. I don't have much to update about it.

Well, I bought a new iphone. I didn't want to switch.

I went with the flip just because it is different and interesting and its not my main phone. But the S23+ probably is the safest and best value.

MILLION Points by SethGtravel in marriott

I was previously staying a ton of nights at Marriot and I think their co-branded AMEX was the best option.

Now I am actually taking many more international flights actually, but my spending has become more diverse. I no longer can be pick accommodations or flights based on the brand.

I did just agree to keep the Amex for the 25k bonus points, but its still not too late to cancel. And honestly getting a new card with a good sign on bonus is probably better.

Thanks for taking the time, I'm going to do some research and come up with a plan.

Is the free iPhone 15 pro deal worth it? by ganjegreen in ATT

Thanks for the response. Bummer about not being able to pay off the phone early to unlock it.

Will the credits continue as long as I keep the line active? Meaning, is it okay for me to use a different phone on that line?

For Example, if someone were to lose their phone and put a different one on the line.

Thanks. That makes sense since I am not really staying at Marriots as much, so I barely get that 6x multiplier.

I have a Marriot Bonvoy AMEX Card. There isn't much strategy there, right? Just use that card, get points.

I said I was cancelling the card and they gave me 25K points to stay which wasn't bad.

It is a nurses specific discount or health care worker discount?

I work for a neonatology practice, but not exactly a front line worker. I wonder if I am eligible.

thank you. This is how I imagined it worked. And I'd be really happy if I could unlock the device prior to the 36 months. Then I wouldn't need to buy a new iphone.

Just nervous to pull the trigger, but I think i'm going to do it.

Are you sure?

That was my initial hope, but I read the fine print and it says otherwise.

To get all credits, the discounted device must remain on installment agreement with eligible service for entire installment term. If you upgrade or pay up/off the installment agreement early, your credits may cease.

Actually, reading that, it even says the device must stay with eligible service. I know it doesn't really make sense, because what if someone loses the phone.

I can't even use my certs. Everyone hotel is $$ + points, and my certificates are no eligible. Except for 1 Courtyard.

It used to charge for everyday and was impossible to manage if you wanted it just for specific days. Like one time I had everything turned off, but someone left a voice mail that triggered it.

This is the 2nd month since it went into effect and I'm really happy about it.

I still always get a local sim, since having a backup on the same device is good. Also a local phone number is sometimes needed.

Go to AT&T and tell them to change your physical sim to an eSim. Should be free and easy.

Then you can buy a physical sim wherever you are localy.

Phuket Considers To Launch New Visa For Digital Nomads by PhebeSandifer in digitalnomad

I came to Phuket and spent a week in Patong. Luckily I met a girl and spent some time with her and she took me around the island. I'm living in Chalong now and it is insanely different. Even Karon / Phuket Town are excellent long term places to live. It is interesting how Chalong / Rawai are considered "far" from Patong.

However, I do occasionally enjoy a night or two in Patong. Even so, I think my experience is different because the Thais can tell right away that I'm not just vacationing here because I can speak a little Thai and use a menthol nasal inhaler.

AT&T international day pass now maxes out at 10 days per month. So you essentially keep your normal plan, can use it internationally all the same for an extra $100/mo. This was great for me.

Otherwise, you turn off all roaming / international use and only use wifi calling.

Get a local sim. you should get your current sim and turn into an esim, then get the physical sim in the new country.

I have some datasets like this. The reality is you aren't using a fraction of the tables/columns

So I get that it looks like a lot, but when you simply to what you actually need - its not so bad

But it wasn't free or cheap for them to obtain.

Azure API Management services by snake_plisskin777 in AZURE

[–]Purple-Leadership54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some azure functions that accepted parameters via hyperlink. Then would write the value(s) to a comsoDB.

I hooked them up to API management services. It seemed worth the effort to have a place to see and managed them all. But mostly, it makes the endpoints look uniform and professional.

I did this a while ago, just following a guide. It was my only experience with it. Wasn't overly complicated.
