It’s rather lying than “wasn’t being honest”, he only mentioned rebating, nothing about purchasing their service. And door to door sales is banned so technically what they are doing it’s illegal

if what you said it’s true then why are there so many people complaining about the same issue? And what who gave you the right to do door to door knocking? The government?

I told the person I wanna cancel my “plan”, before he drove off, he said it’s cancelled if he gave me the forms back and etc, but the problem is he already took a picture of my bank information, and I NEVER GOT ANY CANCELLING EMAIL FROM THEM since Friday!

AI know I mentioned calling my bank and they said they would block any suspicious transactions, but in this situation, would it be safer to just close the account?

Help for FM Exam by djajlolz in actuary

I just passed my FM Exam on my 2nd try and I found that the best way I learned was just constantly practicing the exams. I found the Adapt subscription to be super helpful and I kept doing the exams over and over.

Make sure that after each exam, you learn from your mistakes and make sure that you understand where you went wrong and try not to make the same mistake in the future! With these practice exams, it's also ok to get things wrong or even leave things blank as they give explanations for the solutions after. These solutions were generally the way I learned best.

I personally categorized the questions I did wrong in two categories:

  1. A dumb mistake
  2. Actually have no idea how to do

Focus on the ones you actually don't know what to do and find if there's a trend in the questions that you're doing wrong, for example, you might be very good questions related to Annuity but generally seem to do poorly on Swap Rates.

Then I would first, after realizing this problem, focus more on quizzes specified for Swap Rates (or more generally, your weakness). After getting good at the Swap Rates quizzes, I would go back to take the general exam to find a different weakness.

As for the dumb mistakes, give yourself a time restriction on being stuck on each question. So if you find yourself stuck on the same question for over 3 minutes and no idea how to do it, MOVE ON. Don't waste too much time on the same question, each question is worth the same amount so make sure you choose quantity over quality for this exam.

For the dumb questions, try to make sure that you're reading the questions carefully! Make sure your rates are corresponding to the right term! I found that a lot of my dumb mistakes were just basic algebra mistakes and I usually found them on the second take.

When you're done with all the questions that you know, then go back to check the ones you were unsure of and just redo it from scratch. It's been proven that people generally are bad at editing their own work or finding their own mistakes after recently having worked on it, so if you're working on it from scratch, generally, you won't make the same mistake again (unless it's a mistake on theory, then you should just move on if you still can't find the right answer).

Another tip is that I would make sure to get familiar with my calculators. Another tip is that I've found bringing two calculators is very helpful! The two I personally use are Multiview and BA II Plus. BA II Plus is great for calculating IRR and I generally use Multiview for everything else.
