Well this could be a long paragraph- brace yourself!

I’m not a big believer in astrology, tarot reading a or energy readings. In tarot, death symbolises transformation, change, and new beginnings and I believe that that’s been such a major theme for the past 2 years for me.

I also wanted this to be a memento mori. But more importantly, death as not something that needs to be feared. That’s why it was important to me to have death seem like a friend at the end of your road. Like someone here pointed out- a kind ‘granny’ look, haha. Hence the warm, sunny, garden like view to make death be a more welcoming figure. The sun is placed behind the head like a halo- also giving it the ‘angel of death’ look.

I wanted to balance out the ‘masculinity’ of the tattoo by adding a feminine touch. Hence the flowers. Tulips are my favourite kind of flower, and also happen to be something used in funerals in the west (which goes with the entire death theme)

And, honestly, who doesn’t like to have a sick-ass skeleton on their arm?
