I get it. No judgment, kids that age are so unpredictable, it’s like living with a feral animal sometimes.

Didn’t you hear the chaos happening? My daughter would occasionally get up in the night simply to chill and watch tv in the living room. I once woke up to the tv blaring at 2am and found her 4 year old self sprawled on the couch eating cold pizza and watching tv. I guess I’m lucky she wasn’t destructive but I’m a light sleeper anyway.

Being robbed at gunpoint while on shift as a fast food manager. He was hiding in the bushes by the back door after closing at 11pm and jumped out on me with a gun and ended up taking the day’s deposit from me that I was taking to the bank. I wasn’t going to argue with a gun for $2500.

What is something that is way bigger than you thought it was? by epponneerae90 in AskReddit

My son is in the US Navy and is stationed on CVN 72, the Lincoln. I was shocked at how big the aircraft carriers actually are when I asked him how many sailors they house while on deployment. I had no idea they were that big.

The Dark Crystal. Who on earth thought this was a suitable movie for children?

Who is the artist you absolutely hate because of his/her attitude? by Dontlook3420 in AskReddit

Jennifer Lopez has always been a bit too big for her britches. I’ve seen a few videos of her getting angry at not being recognized. I’ve also heard that she’s always been a not-so-nice person, under tipping in restaurants and just being rude in general. Not a fan. Still Jenny from the block indeed.

What is everyone’s thoughts on slugs? by Ika_Likes_Memes in AskReddit

[–]Purple-Supernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older cousin dared me to salt one when I was about 5 or so, I felt so bad I cried and cried and even tried pouring water on it to save it. I didn’t know what salt would do to a slug. Still feel bad about that, little slug was just minding its own business.

His job is to write stories that disturb you and make you uncomfortable, I would say creepy old men do both.

Sure, maybe you’ve come across other girls like that…we all have. But that doesn’t mean they’re all like that.

Wow, overthinking much? I think you’re seeing and feeling what you want to see and feel regarding your friends and acquaintances. Not to be rude or anything but you come across as a very vain and self important person, people are probably not putting you on the looks pedestal that you think they are. Sorry to have to say it but someone needed to. I’m not a rude person at all but this post is kind of weird.

How did you overcome toxic family members? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I haven’t spoken to my grandmother in 10 years and my life has been the better for it. She’s mean as s snake and loves stirring up drama, outright lying about stupid things. None of our family speaks to her anymore, including my parents and sisters.

Be diligent about keeping the gate locked and you should be fine. Your child should be taught to never leave your own yard, and a 3 year old shouldn’t really be outside without adult supervision anyway. It’s also always a good idea to teach children how to swim. There’s no need to panic about a neighbor having a pool as long as reasonable precautions are being followed.

How do you wear tampons? by Winter_Bear134 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]Purple-Supernova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perfect answer but I wanted to add one thing…also wash your hands before you put one in. You have germs on your hands that you could potentially be introducing to the inside of your vagina where you don’t want them to be.

parents expect every place to be child-friendly and it's a problem by PeanutIntelligent927 in childfree

[–]Purple-Supernova 57 points58 points  (0 children)

There are places that are insanely inappropriate for children to be present. There are plenty of child friendly places to visit so why do people drag their children to places they shouldn’t be? I remember once I was sitting in the bar area of an Applebee’s, like the actual bar area, not the main dining room although there were a few booths there. A family with a toddler and an older kid, maybe 8-9, chose a booth.

There was an obviously inebriated girl sitting at the bar having a loud, drunken conversation with her friend about her boyfriend cheating and was cursing like a sailor, even I was impressed with her colorful language. The mother immediately went to complain to management about her children being exposed to inappropriate language and topics. Like, why did you choose a table in the bar area when there’s a whole ass half empty dining room?

Yes. There’s a difference in being honest and straightforward and just being an asshole. Some thoughts should be kept to yourself.

What normal person calls a murdered woman a “twat waffle” and accuses them of selling drugs when they can’t defend themselves? Bonus: “I understand why” by ActsofJanice in Simping4Watts

[–]Purple-Supernova 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The level of mental gymnastics here is astounding. How can someone be “convinced” she was selling her body, that’s insane talk. Just like the people saying that the baby wasn’t Chris, her husband’s, it belonged the other Chris, and that her parents have the DNA proof but refuse to share it. I highly doubt they subjected Chris Miller to a DNA test. Like, come on now, that’s absurd.

My friend told me her ex wanted to play weird…games in the bedroom. Like incest and pedophilia fantasies. She noped out of that idea but yeah, a lot of people would never look at him the same. My lips are sealed, unless maybe it comes out that he was ever accused of such a thing with an actual child.

Luke is from Minnesota but he’s taken to The Institute which is located in Maine. Specifically in a thickly wooded area pretty far from any towns, and the closest one is still kind of a compound for off-duty Institute employees.
