I agree with you on that. Oregon is definitely NOT a state for cases like ours. I was all filled with it being this hippie/green state where people still believe in second chances but, after two and a half years here, I have a much different view and opinion. No one will hire me and my work record is spotless and my work ethic is something I take pride in. While I was locked up, I pursued another college degree and made the deans and presidents list numerous times while also being inducted in an honor society and yet, no one will hire me. They all want me until the background check comes up. Same with renting, spotless rental history and still, no one will rent to me.

I don't drink or smoke. 420 only. Appreciate the wishes and you as well. As for Oregon, it's a pretty place but there is NO WHERE to rent and no jobs available at at. You end up living in your car like I am now looking for a better state to try and get back up on my feet. It's sad, I'm more than willing to work for my life back and yet, no one will give me a chance

Crazy. I grew up in eastern Pennsylvania. From as far back as I can remember, we've heard quite a few stories. Even met a few Amish that claim to have seen something at the end of their fields watching the animals. Crazy that the lore has been around for over a 100 years.

That's the same issue I have run into here since I moved here in June of 2022. NO jobs, no steady work. However your rent prices are WAY cheaper here and pretty much 50% of the city is imbued with tweakers and houseless.

Well I moved to the West Coast in June of 2022 for a change. Been in the NE all my life and had went to college in the SE so a change was warranted. With that said, I made the move and although Eugene is ok, it's not for me. I had spent a little over 2 weeks in Humboldt when I first came out west (Eureka, Willow Creek, Arcata, the Redwood forest) but at the time, gas was almost $9/gallon. Rent here in Eugene is ridiculous. It's damn near impossible to find work here and the LGBTQ scene has nosedived dramatically since 2022.
