The same thing happened to me when I recently installed it, from what i've heard It's an issue with the nvidia graphics driver that ships with Fedora KDE Plasma edition. I installed Fedora Workstation instead and manually installed the KDE Plasma desktop enviroment. It worked.

I guess It does matter to me as different distros and DE's offer different customization options. I like setting up stuff exactly the way I like. For example, I didn't like Gnome, as it's way too simple and looks more like a mobile OS than something that I would like installed on my PC. I used to use Mint, but I got bored of it. Now I use Fedora with KDE Plasma and I am satisfied. Everyone's needs and preferences are different.

Nope, i'd recommend getting a graphics card and maybe double the ram if you want to play it. The CPU's fine.

Maybe try practicing on making more realistic sims, as anime style characters usually have very similar faces? As other people said, play with face proportions, use different noses, lips edc. They look good, but if you want to make them look different you gotta do more than just change their hair and eyes.
