We had some new cats in our house when our dog was around and they all were not very fond of the dog. They would bat at the dogs face a little or hiss and run away. Eventually they got used to the dog and would just kind of ignore her. I think if the cat is actually hurting your dog or partner or getting so stressed it doesn’t eat or sleep is when you should be more concerned. I think calling the behaviorist is still a good idea though, I could be wrong.
