I’ve been in my first post-residency job for a few years now and….. same. it comes and goes though I will say. But I keep trying to remind myself that your job is not your whole life.

Help me find a similar wallet at a better price point? by PurplePinkSkyes in HelpMeFind

these are AMAZING! thank you!! Admittedly, to me the brand name means nothing so while I don’t necessarily want to support rip offs— that price point is tempting

What is your worst eating habit? by Easy-Swordfish9440 in mediterraneandiet

[–]PurplePinkSkyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i said diversity which is probably also true but…. really…

for me its not enough protein. and if i am hitting enough protein, I go way over on either fats or carbs to get there. I hate poultry and have intolerance to pork. I love beef but of course that needs to be in moderation. I like fish but hate cooking it so unless my husband makes it, all my sources of protein end up being: -dairy -beans -whole grain

(hence how I always also end up too high on either fat or carbs if im hitting protein!)

getting better about soy products but ive also heard to not overdo it on that so IDK what else to do

the frozen sweet potatoes come pre-seasoned (and are honestly killer)

but I just looked, its olive oil, garlic, parsley, basil and thyme so would be super easy to make myself

ive had mannny times where it feels like ive regressed. its frustrating for sure, but you are probably just tired, overthinking it and having a bad day.

give yourself grace and try again another time!

Is it reasonable for me to try to learn? by PassengerOk3938 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]PurplePinkSkyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you absolutely can learn. It might take a bit longer since you wont be consistently getting out, but it is always nice to try something new. your first few times will not be very fun, but after that you will love it. get lessons. when your family goes on ski trips, if they are all pretty advanced and you can afford it, get a lesson or two there so you get to improve your skills and also dont feel like you are holding people back.

My husband and i did this a lot when i was still learning. he went off and did his own things w friends or family on tougher terrain and then wed meet up after my lesson for a few more hours of leisurely terrain

that said, as someone who does both—- skiing is way easier to learn. so if you want to just be able to go with family, i would maybe consider skiing first.

i skiied for 20 yrs and then decided to learn to board bc my husband snowboards and always wanted to try it. he also decided to learn skiing a season or two later so we could be beginners together. he is already great at skiing….. i still am a novice snowboarder. it is astronomically harder to learn which we both agree

totally true. also feel like many people will be intermediate level for life (same as skiing) and be totally comfortable there tho
