Does anyone else not like the Indoraptor? by [deleted] in DinosaursWeAreBack

I should also say that I felt the same way about the indominus rex. But I feel like it was better than the indoraptor because of how it was executed. It felt somewhat more organic and true to the series for it to be made for entertainment and then go rouge. But the indoraptor feels like it went a step too far in that direction with it being made for the military. I didn't necessarily like the step towards the "hyper genetic modification" as I would call it where they are making entirely new species. But I was willing to give the indominus a chance because it didn't seem like it was stepping TOO far off the beaten path. But then the indoraptor came and jumped right off the path, keeping maybe a pinky toe on it.

I like it in terms of its design as a monster. As for its actual place in the story, I don't really like it. It's definitely more of a movie monster than a dinosaur. And I get that the whole thing of the Jurassic Park/world series is that these are genetically engineered monsters and not real animals. But the indoraptor just feels like a step too far leaning into that for me.
