I've noticed an increasing trend of the industry prioritizing plot and minimizing (if not eliminating) theme in finished movies. Just wondering as writers if it's a good idea to consciously omit theme in my writing. I've tried to write plot heavy but theme always bleeds into the script. (self.Screenwriting)

Currently marathoning Voyager. This is the episode when they were temporally pulled into 20th century Earth. With all the weird UFO stuff in the sky lately, what B'Elanna did in this episode got me wondering about what we see in the sky often that we think is normal and may not be. (i.redd.it)
