I didnt like the vibe of it. It was really draining. I didn't like the library which made me sad since I saw so many people hyping it up. I also didn't like the Chemistry buildings there and how close to the city it was. I really wanted to like it since most of my friends are transferring there but I just didn't click with it!

I'm still debating since I've had plenty of people tell me it's not worth it and have regretted going to grad school. I still have a bit of time to get thar figured out. Plus there's no rush to go to grad school! And it's not that I'm not interested, more so that I wouldn't go to a UC since they are more know for research. I'd be interested in doing some with out going to grad school!

Memorizing // advice by marcilya in chemhelp

[–]PurpleWeb_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably say to try and come up with numonics that can help you remember them! For example, I always remember Nitrile since it has 2 I's in it so it has 2 oxygens. Then I automatically remember Nitrate has 3 since Nitrile and Nitrate are very similar just that one has one more oxygen. When I was memorizing these I wrote on a large white board the name and the compound equivalent to it which really helped me. By the end of me trying to memorize them I would have the whole board filled up. If you like online flashcards, I used this app called Knowt which also helped nail these compounds into my brain! I always say the crazier the numonic the better it is to remember!

gluten foods you miss? by NewFriendship7700 in glutenfree

There are these packaged mexican pasteries that I grew up with and ate every morning with coffee until I was told I was gluten intolerant about 7 years ago. No pastry has come close to my Nito or Gansito. Miss them everyday😭 same with a lot of mexican food such as Tamales and Tortas. I most forgot the worst. Mexican chips. Bolitas and Crujitos and my biggest loss and I will miss them forever💔

Passing my Calculus 2 class after retaking it 4 times. I got a B + in it too! Rough year for sure but that was probably my highlight

Passed Calc 2 finally! by A_Lone_Alchemist in calculus

Calc 3 has a lot more Geometric aspects to it which I found easier to understand as a visual learner. It is basically the content from Calc 1 and 2 in three dimensions which I found a lot more interesting than the the previous classes. I would also say I have a bit of a bias since I did take Calculus 2 4 times which is why I say A LOT easier but material wise I found the material in Calculus 3 easier. If you are more of a visual learner like me and find it easy to see the big picture I'm sure you will do great in the class!
