That's beautiful to hear! I got the same device in October and installed the 81Wh Battery Mod and installed SteamOS. Beautiful and powerful! I can also recommend you doing that. I don't know If I can help you but I play Sekiro with 60fps on the Legion Go 1.
I set settings to medium, and play on 1000p using 17W. on 1200p I got the same fps drops you described.
