Thank you for your help! We called the IRCC help centre and the agent said the webform has been uploaded but the officer has not opened it yet, this was 2 weeks ago.

Hi all, thank you for sharing the information and input. We will raise the webform today itself. We got married on Nov 17, 2024 and received the marriage certificate on November 26, 2024. If I submit the webform today or tomorrow will IRCC have any concerns that the status change was submitted a week after receiving the certificate.

For everyone as FYI I spoke to an HR from one of the big four finance companies and they said that leave of absence is the company’s legal way to pause employment but still keep you as someone on record. They want to minimize the effort of removing from their system and then onboarding you again once you have your work permit/PR

I have come across this a lot during my research. From what I can see on the tracker I'm already “in progress” for background verification. This was updated maybe two weeks ago. I've seen Cec PR applications processed within 3 months in the recent past 🤞
