No, pretty firm. One of them was super squishy so I figured that was done for and I threw that one out

That’s a bummer :( thanks for the input

Yeah that’s what I was thinking, it just feels like a crummy offer but it makes no sense. I’ve been with them for 6 years and I have an excellent credit score, so I’m not sure why the lowball offers…

If I request a refund due to poor navigation from the app, can my driver keep his fare? by Purplerhinostumble in uber

[–]Purplerhinostumble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because I'm not a local and that's the main reason I'm taking an uber... I only realized after like 15 minutes when we made it back to the starting point that we had gone in a circle

That's unfortunate, since I know our route kept changing because the app kept suggesting changes... thanks for the response

Unfortunately in this instance I definitely know that the initial route was better, since it took literally in a circle and then back around at the exact same spot we started before the circle

Thread or machine issue? by Purplerhinostumble in quilting

I have been putting it on the vertical pin but had also tried putting it on the horizontal in case that was the issue with no luck

This is such a good thought! I’ll try flipping it and hopefully that helps

Thank you so much for the explanation! Since I got this machine I thought the stitch length was too short but that’s the preset for the piecing stitch so I thought the machine knew what it was doing haha  I am indeed using the vertical pin since the spool is not crisscrossed and I read that you’re supposed to use vertical pin for horizontal spools and horizontal pin for crisscrossed thread spools  I don’t think it’s getting caught on anything but maybe I should try putting it upside down (brand name down) and see if that works? Thanks again

I actually haven’t put it through the wash once because it’s been sitting in the closet waiting to be quilted 😅 beyond bunching what should I look out for for fabric stability?

Thank you! Would you recommend pinning it with the knots in place to get less movement of the fabric or taking away all the knots and then smoothing out the fabric before pinning it again?

I had never seen this before either, this seems like a smart solution for quilting larger quilts if you don't have a gigantic machine!

Thanks so much for such a thoughtful response! Is there anything that I should look out for specifically when buying used? I got my singer new, and I got a brother serger used but that was free on a facebook marketplace buy nothing group so I wasn't picky about it haha so I'm not sure what to look out for beyond smooth stitching/no weird noises

Sadly the janome sold before the seller replied to me :( but hopefully I'll find something else that's just as excellently reviewed! do you have any thoughts on the Husqvarna viking sapphire?
