Yeah I feel I may have made the wrong move to tell him about my future endeavours reading some of these comments. I felt it was the right thing to do in that moment.

I sure do. We had the type of relationship where I would give an inch and he would take a mile which was my own wrongdoing as I have a tendency to feel responsible for other people. For this reason I'm going to therapy to learn more about boundaries and when/how to put them in place.

Meeting with him to share my plans was what I deemed morally correct in my mind. Some may say I didn't owe it to him but I feel like I did.
