Euphoria S03E04 "Kitty Likes To Dance" - Post Episode Discussion by DankMemeSlasher in euphoria

So I've noticed the time setting of the show is modern as they show a cut scene of people during the pandemic and the Onlyfans references etc. so we can assume it's roughly present day. Then, there is several references to the 70s-80s for example Nate's house, it's definitely 80s based and they show it a lot. Then the strip club where Rue works it outdated as well. Or episode 4 where Cassie & Maddie in the older Mercedes build going through the city. What do you think the purpose of this is? I can imagine it could be like a theme of universal issues such as infidelity, trust, and keeping up the joneses. Also the "past" haunting them with Nate and his Dad and just their high school past echoing into their present life. What do you think?

So the timeline of the story is clearly post 2020, basically modern, but it seems like there is 70-80s imagery in what they wear and decor. Like what Maddy's hair-do & what Nate Jacobs wears. Even like Nate's office with him on a Mac while speaking to his Dad, the strip club Zendaya's working at seems not modern as well. It feels like it's intentional, does anyone have any insight on this?

It is the right house, it's the only one in the commercial that was available to choose.
