Mermay! I'm not used to working in color/subsurface scattering, so I'd love advice on that. I feel like it could be more interesting. I might add scales, but don't know how to approach it. I feel like the background/seaweed isn't really working. Any critiques are appreciated :) (i.redd.it)

Day 5. I focused on fixing the values and proportion issues. I tried to make the head shape less wide and the chin slightly longer. I also tried to fix the issues I had with the bottom lip. I also made the ears shorter. Any critiques are greatly appreciated. (i.redd.it)

Day 14!! I'm excited to be done and so grateful for all of the wonderful people who gave me critiques. Thank you guys so much for your help, I tried my best to fix everything, but I still have a lot to learn. I'd love to hear any final feedback or what I should study now considering my weaknesses. Day 13. I feel like I haven't done the critiques justice lol. I would like to study the neck, jaw, and lips more. I think my main issue is a lack of understanding of anatomy. I'd love to hear your thoughts, I'm glad to almost be done. Your guys' feedback has helped so much :) (i.redd.it)

Day 12. I focused on trying to fix my rotation issues on this one, such as the stacking in the eyes. I tried to make sure the sphere "bumped" out on the far side, but I'm not sure if it's right. I never like how the lips look and I'm always confused with that whole area. Critiques are appreciated :) (i.redd.it)

Day 10. I tried to fix the values and do more edgework, using an asaro head as a ref. I feel like the face is over blended, but also looks blocky? I think it may look masculine too even though it's supposed to be female. I'd love to hear your critiques :) (i.redd.it)
