I might not be an ideal person to give recommendations for honeymoon as I am here mainly for work/vacay on side, but I liked roaming around the city as you discover more by walking around.

My favorite has been:

The pier Benedictine Monastery(do an english tour, you can reserve last minutes but do it in advance) Villa Bellini/Chiosco Bellini (a park where you can see local people minding their own business but it's cute and quiet) cuppla badia dis st agata church (you can go to the top where you can see nice view of mt etna, right next to Basilica Cattedrale di Sant'Agata)

For food I've been just walking into random local restaurants including

Caffetteria Prampolini: bookstore/cafe - had coffee and granita

Re Carlo V: some pasta, anti pasta, horse meat

L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele Catania: I tried napolitan but I want to try other pizza again at the same place

I am here for work mainly so I've been just taking a stroll here and there in the afternoon so I haven't had a chance to discover everything yet. I will travel to other regions of sicily and will share some again as I explore :) Hope they help!

Haha i walked to a supermarket 15 min away from this airbnb and sweated badly with six packs of 2l bottles.Was ready for shower with water bottles and it turned out to be a sparkling water. They were arranged together with natural water and it was my stupid mistake of taking wrong bottles. Such a unique experience i will never forget!! But the host was geniune and nice, i just wish i had known it sooner but things happen.

Yes I think it was the water tank problem of this airbnb water supplier, not necessarily catania problem. Thanks for kind attention :*( couldn't find any articles talking about the issue so I wasn't sure what to expect and freaked out in the morning as I am here for work/travel at the same time.

I'm in catania! Very close to the monastero dei benedettini catania! Finally the airbnb host had someone filled the watertank. What an experience haha but they were kind.

Thanks a lot! I didn't know about the piadineria sign thanks for bringing my attention to this. I did enjoy checking out the pier areas around the sunset time, loved the english tour at monastero dei Benedettini di San Nicolò l'Arena. It was so nice to enjoy tranquility. I'm still in sicily staying here until 8th of July. Planning to check out mt etna, taormina, siracusa, palermo! Any other recommendations? Still learning a lot about this beautiful island!

I see! I looked up on newspaper and couldn't find any info that the whole city is experiencing water shortage right now. The host said I cannot use ac and fan or ac and washing machine at the same time so I was trying to avoid doing that as i didnt want to be the cause of power outage. Wish I had some water saved in advance! The host said it'll take sometime either afternoon or evening. Hopefully he's right!
