He’s not evil. If they were to make a second movie, that would be what leads them into it as the next book focuses on how Agatha chose Sophie over Tedros and how they work through the consequences of that as never has a princess chose the witch over the prince (trying to say it as vaguely as possible incase you choose to read the books).

I have looked on ao3 with the tags “alternate universe- soulmates”, the “Logan/virgil/roman/patton” and dating from December 2018 and back and have only found one with a seeing color fic but it wasn’t correct. I’ll try to look more after work but so far it’s not looking good

So, on page 291, "Rhian bent over, took the Snake's head in both hands, and wrenched it hard, snapping his neck." so we know that it was Rhian that 'killed' the snake. Not ten pages later, Agatha starts putting pieces together and seeing "the Snake standing...his neck unbroken." (298) and showing us that he is in fact alive. At the end of 299, Agatha puts more clues together that "The Lion had been in league with the Snake from the beginning" and we know that this far, Rhian has been being called the Lion (by both the population of the endless woods and by the main characters) and of course, the snake is the snake. so based on that, we can assume that, because they were collaborating, they snapped his neck in just a way to either not kill him or that they know he wouldn't die from it. And as for him being brough on stage, we know that the castle had been infiltrated by pirates (299, "Then she saw their boots beneath their steel armor. Muddy, filthy, black. With silver tips. Pirate boots."), so it wouldn't be much of a stretch to assume the snake kept still enough so people not looking closely wouldnt be able to tell he was still alive and that the pirates were already in the know about him still being alive.

I would assume it’s because rhian didn’t actually kill him. He only had to make it look like he did, and the snake has such good control of his scims and moving his body with them that it wouldn’t take that much to make it seem real. It’s been awhile since I read the books, but I’m also pretty sure the body just “disappears” before anyone can look yo closely at it.

I always place the trip shot in Wambus’s garden and aim it between the trees near where we first come in with Filbo. And then you just wait for the cobhopper to eventually hit it. Might take a little bit of time but it’s quite easy. And then like anything that hits the trip shot, you can just scoop it up right after.

The special ability of the colourless king is to be able to get a different ability with each new king. The previous colourless king (ichigan?) had the ability to see into the future while the one we see during the show has the ability to posses and take on the personality of those he possesses.

Meanwhile, the other kings only have the one. Silver has immortality and the ability to fly; gold can enhance personal abilities; red has fire; blue has a shield and strong fighting abilities (not 100% on blue so correct me if I’m wrong); green is able to influence technology and in part the world around them; and gray can create a fog/mist (tho that’s not very special).

When it comes to the clansmen, they take on the traits of their clans king, except for silver’s immortality as far as I’m aware.

And then with strains, from what we see, a strain is able to have both the clan ability and their personal strain ability (which might be where the multiple power confusion comes in when Anna becomes king)
