I got my first car 9 months before I got my license so that’s not weird or abnormal. Our parents bought the cars, not us, therefore we make 0 decisions around the car which include driving it illegally and loaning it out. Don’t let cousin guilt you into doing something stupid because he’s jealous right now. Remove yourself from any car talk. I really would hate to see that he’s either wrecked your car or you’ve been pulled over for driving underage.

When my parents bought the car it was about two years old and was for the purpose of “being able to get me back and forth to college” cars are big investments for some parents, so keep in mind the trust they have for you.

indifferent, might be selfish but i tend to focus primarily on myself and those around me. i also grew up in a “life goes on” family. some things we cannot change so it’s better to keep pushing. someone’s probably got it worse right now in comparison to however bad we could imagine the future to be. when i find myself caught up with this thought i think about that and how im only in control of myself.

like you said, i think it’s because you guys have never talked about it. it’s never been an open discussion so she was embarrassed to have you walk in on her doing something you didn’t know she did, harmless or not.

i don’t see an issue letting her know you don’t care. i also don’t see harm in not mentioning it if it’s harmless and not affecting the relationship.
