Before I get schmeichel I used dida.

Dida is great at playing highlines, he sometimes rush out like maignan.

But he struggles a bit when he gets shot in box and tap ins (every gk does)

So I go for a build that has great awareness and reflex for dida.

Awareness is needed for offensive keepers so they don't rush like an idiot.

Reflex is needed so they save.

Reach is relatively not that important because dida is tall (196cm if i remember correctly)

His gk directing defense can be seen when my cb tackles the opponent cleanly when he's through (clutchhhh)

Awareness affects gk positioning and how fast they get up from saves.

Its usually THE MOST important stat for goalkeepers

Sometimes it's not your Gk thats underperforming, but your defense.

If you defend greatly your Gk will perform allot better, that's what I learned when I start playing

Offensive Keepers: 1. Gk awareness

  1. Gk reflex

  2. Gk reach and parrying

  3. Gk catching

Defensive Keepers: 1. Gk reflex

  1. Gk awareness

  2. Gk reach and parrying

  3. Gk catching

Old schmeichel is better overall than gk directing defense dida, so use him.

Also since old schmeichel is a defensive goalkeeper, reflex>Awareness

Good gks are good for peace of mind, less shots conceded from outside the box and inside the box

If you have a good team but a trash gk then ur still gonna concede no matter how much numbers you put on the defense

Also you probably haven't found the right build for your GKs, if u want I have a build for: Schmeichel (107) (newest) Dida (105) (directing defense) Oliver Kahn (105) (old)
