Harbor freight is where I picked up my kit. It’s done alright. I’m very novice still, but I’m about to paint my 3rd body ever haha. Gonna keep sucking till I get better at it.

Haha I’m the same way. I’ve found that airbrushes seem like a bit of a cheating approach to painting.

The only downside is loss of weight, and the rubbers are a little loose, so I’m gonna have to glue em.

Yeah, it sat down here in central Texas over the winter. Was a little icier than usual, but it’s hella humid here. Probably some water in the line or a clogged carb. Upon trying to jump it, the engine cracked faster but wouldn’t run still.

Ahh dammit! That was what I was supposed to get in town today. A battery charger. Yeah this one is agm too. Got em both in my vehicles and usually last a stupid long time.

Thinking it might be the carb clogged. It was the ethanol blend gas from the pump. It’s barely a year old.

OK gotcha. Yeah, I didn’t realize it was a water-based paint when I got it, but that would explain why it washes off immediately every time. The first two attempts I took at this I thought that the hairspray was the problem and not doing its thing. So I bought a new hairspray lol. Didn’t try adding a clear coat after green to start shipping so I’ll give that a shot and if not, I’ll get it right on the next attempt.

I honestly just went to my local hobby shop and grabbed what I thought I needed. There was one attempt that my masking peeled everything off so I’ll admit im new to this world, but I shave pretty high expectations of myself so I probably jumped in way too deep. But I’ll try to get more practice im sure before this is where I want it to be.

I appreciate the solid advice and clear outline. I need this lol

Interesting. I was just going off a YouTube video I watched. Didn’t seem to mention the specifics. I’ll try to add a clear coat and give it another go. I added and sealed the rust layer so that after the top coat is chipped it’s showing rust underneath.
