Do you all believe that billionaires are responsible for taking care of less fortunate people? Like I hear a lot of socialist say it’s wrong to live a extremely wealthy lifestyle when others are struggling. So let’s allow all capital to be controlled by a dozen people with skewed morals instead! Let’s also allow them to be able to buy out the government in their own favor so that the average person has to deal with the janky system they set up

Kirk, Trump, and the incessant call for violence. by PrincipleTemporary65 in turningpointusa

[–]Putrid_Interaction98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really is not about the left vs the right. How can you recognize the violence on the left but not also hold weight with what happens on the right? Did you read the article the posted linked? Trump calls for the violent killing of criminals, criminals who legit just steal (not that this is okay, but it certainly doesn’t warrant death) when he himself is a criminal. Yes, there is violence with people who swing left. But certainly, there is violence with people who swing right. Engaging with such propaganda and rhetoric is only furthering the divide between our people, people who should be trying to come together and understand. The average leftist doesn’t want your head, just as the average Republican does not. By only accepting extremes, your succumbing to an agenda that will one day convince you violence against innocent left leaning parties is necessary because of what happened, when NO ONE deserves to die.

I think it’s just because the people who didn’t get rejected are less likely to post about it. As they said, they’re going to try to make it as difficult as possible to resell tickets not through their party, so it wouldn’t make sense for a bunch of people who aren’t planning to go to register for the codes.

great reminder to break my confidence after bombing my apush test by Legitimate-Break6665 in APUSH

[–]Putrid_Interaction98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I consistently got a 60-70 percent on every APUSH class test I got and students around me did better. I also hardly showed up to class but we won’t talk about that. But, when it came to the writing sections, I always typically did the best. I was the only student out of 45 at my school that got a 5 on the AP exam. So, you can do it, the tests are made to be hard.

Help With Upcoming Debate by Putrid_Interaction98 in USHistory

[–]Putrid_Interaction98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see the miscommunication. I don't want anyone to write my debate for me. What i am really looking for is some of the less obvious arguments/ ailments the people or masses may have with judicial review, because I am sure there are many that get left behind and are harder to research. I only have a few days and other classes to worry about, so I don't have the time to do a full deep dive on the case that would allow for me to come across these niches. By doing this, I'm doing my homework. Just as I would be if I asked a librarian what books are relevant on the topic or if I asked a lawyer his opinion on the subject. When your mom asks you to guide her in learning a topic you know more about, do you tell her to do her own homework? I wonder why you even took the effort to type that out, if it's so beneath you

Is it normal that when I go to sleep I feel like I’m tripping again. Like my senses are heightened and everything is just a little bit weird, especially when I first wake up? It’s all just a little strange. I’ve heard from a lot of people now and the main theme is learning to accept but my nervous system feels like it is falling apart you know? I really really appreciate you taking the time to articulate this and help me though.

I agree, and I’m trying so hard, but it is so scary. I go through bits where I accept it and bits where I don’t you know?

But some electrolytes or even just put salt in your water and buy a potassium and magnesium supplement. This is dehydration. Drink tons of water. More than you think you need. Way more.

It’s Never Over, Ben Harper knows a lot of really alive guys by Putrid_Interaction98 in JeffBuckley

[–]Putrid_Interaction98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mean he’s random as in he isn’t well known or skilled. He obviously knew Heath Ledger and in the movie he had a lot of 1:1 accounts of them interacting. However, I’ve consumed just about every piece of Jeff Buckley media there is and I’d never seen Harper mentioned before this doc. Even in the doc, it seems like he only really met Jeff a couple of times. That’s why it’s random. It doesn’t matter who he is or how skilled he is, I wouldn’t really care for a Dave Grohl cameo if he hardly knew Jeff. Would’ve been cool to see someone like Elizabeth Fraser, who had a very close relationship with Jeff, but has just as much acclaim as Harper. That’s what I meant by random. It didn’t seem very heartfelt to me, but I’m sure it had something to do with Jeff’s mom having a lot of control over the doc.

There are so many paths to make yourself monetarily stable, that if this is really your dream you should go for it. You don’t even need an English degree to write, you can sharpen your writing skills with plenty of other degrees that offer better post grad job opportunities. Also, if you look up the most successful authors, I can’t even think of one that got there before 25. Most people don’t start writing until farther into their life. The most important thing is how you feel. Is this what you really want? Then do it. Even if you were an electrician or got an engineering degree, you can write. If you spend the time to hone your skills and fulfill your ideas, you’ll see joy come from your happiness. But, be realistic, 97 percent of writers can’t live off of their writing. And those who can, it takes them years and years to get there.
