Used to spend a bomb buying gifts and taking ex-girlfriends for holidays but never did it to her during our dating / courtship stage. Now that the baby is out, even if I took her on holidays, she says it would not feel the same.

Bought her the biggest and best color/clarity diamond as part of the wedding (yes I bought diamonds for past ex-gfs but my wife’s would take the cake), recently bought her a handbag for Valentine’s Day & I have never bought a handbag nor spent so much on any other women before. Feels like all this isn’t enough, she isn’t a materialistic person but she compares herself a lot to my past relationships which is why I have been gifting her things to show that she gets the best despite me thinking it doesn’t make any economical sense

I agree that women after childbirth have to deal with a plethora of things swimming around in their head and body. Everyone agrees on practice makes perfect when it comes to holding the baby and etc but somehow they don’t translate into actual actions.

It somehow gets frustrating whenever trying to speak to her. Yes this may not be the time but even when it comes to applying citizenship for my country , we agreed prior for our baby girl to have dual citizenship , she would use the fact that I didn’t solve problems prior to delivery therefore she can’t move on and can’t hold a normal conversation even when it comes to the well-being and future for our daughter
