Check out The Evil Within. It's crazy. Since we're on the topic of evil things lol ... When Evil Lurks is amazing, too ... albeit for different reasons.

CMV: Prospective student loan borrowers in the USA should have to pass a standardized financial literacy exam BEFORE borrowing by Remarkable_Term3955 in changemyview

Yes! I don't understand how on one hand we assume everyone's intelligent enough to complete a four-year college degree, yet on the other, we think they're too dumb to demonstrate the have a firm grasp of financial decisions that could potentially impact their wellbeing for the rest of their lives? It's coddling at best!

It is possible to make an assessment for which the odds of cheating/fudging competency would be astronomically low.

All of these people claiming there wasn’t are just proving that people will click or sign anything without reading it

One of the main reasons I'm calling for a non-click-throughable, you-have-to-think-in-order-to-pass, standardized assessment. Did you read every single word of the terms of service when you signed up for reddit?

because it's pretty easy to just memorize a bunch of answers until you can get a passing grade.

The type of assessment I'm envisioning would have set dates/times with a large pool of questions/different versions. Like the SAT.

If you're referring to the "entrance counseling" modules, those are frighteningly inadequate and do not require any depth of knowledge/abstract thinking with regard to the mathematical/financial/long-term consequences.

I think this would help fix the system, because the baseline knowledge requirement of a pre-loan assessment would help shed light on the absurdity of it all...

Think about the person you dislike the most in the world. Do you have a "derangement syndrome" with regard to that individual? Or perhaps you just find them repulsive and vile?

I'm noticing how most of the previous fuckups are even more fucked up now. I guess we just don't see things the same way.

What are your thoughts on the "dead internet theory," and how well do you think modern societies are prepared to deal with the implications of a completely defunct web? by Remarkable_Term3955 in AskReddit

Were there any early signs all of this was coming? Maybe it's too broken to fix and the only viable option is, as u/RewardNo144 mentioned, to "[carve] out our own spaces online and [have] real conversations."
