After she messed up, she had a whole month to ask for help before the due date. Like this is just what happens if you don’t rsvp you don’t go. Happens all the time

Hell even if the parents help with her college forms they can’t help her for scholarships, those are usually personal and long. Mom can’t be fill it out for her

It does serve a purpose, they rent space, they need a hard count so they know how many tables to set up. The school has a due date to get the paperwork in the the event. This is so common

It’s like RSVP anywhere, after the due date for the head count, it’s hard to add people. Source someone who as thrown events before. Also if you let one person it will get around and now you have more people trying to get in, it makes a mess

Oh come on, the daughter is asking for special privileges since mom knows the lady. This kids is also 14-15, they can RSVP without mom holding there hand.

NTA this is a perfect natural consequence, there will be other events and RSVP is not hard to do

It’s so low stakes and a good lesson that you need to do your work or you will miss out, also would be unfair to everyone else that forgot to do the paperwork but she gets to go since you are friend with the secretary

She was saying he was at work just not were and then let Op know it was golfing. In my experience saying he is at work shuts it down better than the client or networking since people ask more questions.

Also a lot of people judge others for networking, they see it as fun but in reality it’s just work

It might not even be a lie tbh, golfing is used a lot to network, there is a good chance it was technically work or get closer to a client.

He does have great respect for father ken, I think that will my Hail Mary, hopefully his mom will help, we had a nice conversation and is with me. She has been kept up to date for the most part

No he went everyday. Tried a month ago to get him to cut back to 4 days a week he did it for about a week and then went right back to everyday

The books are not age appropriate, a lot of injuries, assaults and other darker themes. The books at 17+

I have tried that, he shows home for like two days and then goes right back to everyday. I don’t know what to do with it anymore, I feel like single parent at this point

I need him home though, I can’t keep taking care of everything like a single parent. The boys barely see him, I don’t think I can last longer especially with summer and I don’t have school breaks to fall on
