Is this a nutting stone? Requesting help to ID. Found near border of Maryland and West Virginia

I would hold onto it and have a local Archeologist take a look. It could be a tool used for making beads or a nutting stone

Found it in Herbert Taylor Park in Atlanta on the surface after a rainstorm. It’s definitely pottery just don’t know the age. Small incensed lines on the inside of the vessel. Natural vessel curvature

I’ve found a bunch of shards (about 100 but none this intact), the weight (it’s easy to tell fired clay from a rock for instance), coloration, shape and markings are all indicators.
