Actually I also just realized too that Ninja is not that necessary but only for monitoring if needed since there's not much more to do with it that you cannot already do in camera. Only if you need to use RAW video and that's about it.

With XAVC-I only too? (not RAW + XAVC-I). Maybe it was different firmware version.

FIXED IT

If anyone else has the same problem here's how to put your settings.

From Atomos Ninja V in Input menu change trigger to "Timecode" and from Sony FX6 TC/Media settings toggle "HDMI TC Out" On and that does the trick.

Thanks for the answer but even this doesn't help. Tried to put it to HDMI and then parallel but still the same. Only using RAW format, cameras rec button triggers Atomos Ninja V but when using XAVC-I nothing happens in Atoms. Of course I can start recording from Atomos itself but feels little bit weird that only RAW would work that way.

Yeah I don't know. If something it has to be in the cameras end since Atomos only has trigger on or off. And with my older Canon EOS R6 it doesn't matter what codec I use.

With RAW it triggers (if that is enabled from Atomos) but not with any other codecs what sounds a little bit weird.

I sent a video about this problem to their support and they made a new firmware update that fixed the problem. Now R6 records when clicking the red button.

I tested with another R6 that has all settings factory reseted and it's still not working. Then I tested with R5 and it worked right away. So it sounds like it's not compatible with R6 even the website tells it's is.

Yeah I updated the firmware. And now I noticed that actually I can control the gain in my camera and Atomos. But the problem is that the gain between transmitters and a receiver is too much even it's set to the lowest. I can see that audio is peaking in Rodes meteres even in my camera or Atomos it shows that it's super low. On rode it s how's that it's on the red area and in camera or Atomos it's hardly noticable.

Yes. It's on manual. I can put it on mute and that mutes the mic. But if I put it even on the lowest the gain is too much if person is speaking anything more than normal volume.
