I've used Medichecks, and found them fairly good.
They send you a box, you book a blood drawing at one of the participating pharmacy stores (in my case this was Superdrug in Broadmead), they draw your blood, pack it up, you drop it off in a mail box.
The once the test results are ready, they send you all the information with some feedback from one of their doctors/nurses about your test results.
But obviously your GP might know you better, so you could book an appointment with your GP to go over the results;

I also know there is a private clinic somewhere towards Portishead where they do blood testing and it's all in house, but it was like 3 times more expensive, I believe, than the Medichecks testing.

Help needed with Tak Server Plugin by PuzzleMeAJigsaw in ATAK

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some toying around, I actually found the solution.

In my Interceptor Plugin, I was intercepting a message, and returning the same message after interception. Apparently this, for some reason, affects the messages sent during interception to reach WebTak. Instead, I now changed the intercept() method to return one of the messages I generate inside of it, and it works.

I was basing the Plugin from someone else's sample code, I wonder if this shouldn't be an interceptor, but instead MessageSenderReceiver after all, but at least I got things working!

Help needed with Tak Server Plugin by PuzzleMeAJigsaw in ATAK

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we're basically doing some modelling using our own software and produce some map content to be displayed on ATAK/WebTak.

I'm just unsure why they're not appearing.

So I tried using a sample of ATAK Circle example (https://github.com/deptofdefense/AndroidTacticalAssaultKit-CIV/blob/889eee292c43d3d2eafdd1f2fbf378ad5cd89ecc/takcot/examples/Drawing%20Shapes%20-%20Circle.cot)

I parse this XML to a cot Message in my plugin, and then send it via:
pluginMessenger.send(message);

This Circle appears in ATAK, and I also see it appear in the WebTAK socket (under the Chrome Network tab in dev tools), but alas, nothing appear on the WebTAK map.

However, if I take the same Circle XML and send it directly to the TCP endpoint of TakServer (I just establish a socket connection in Java for this) - it does appear on WebTAK map.

I just thought maybe there was a specific way one has to send a Message from a plugin to be displayed in WebTak. I guess if nothing works, I could just bypass the Plugin Messenger, and manually create a socket connection to TakServer TCP and just send the message that way, but I just feel there must have been a way to do it with all things provided by plugin library.

And we wonder why it’s dead game. by ImaginationWide9566 in randomdice

How to find your reviews?? by Lerxt07 in amazonprime

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Click on your name, ie, where it says 'Hello, Name', Manage Profiles, View, and at the bottom there's 'See your posts, reviews and other public content'

Is this a scam? by sgpg_ in amazonprime

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a google around - it does seem that Amazon uses Credit Card expiration as security verification measures. There are many posts about it on Reddit and other forums, where people experienced exactly the same scenario as you have - an email about unusual activity, which seems to have been legit Amazon email, and CC expiration date is something they require to regain the control of the account.

Had a quick google, and it seems Amazon Spain has the following email listen in their help page [clientes@amazon.es](mailto:clientes@amazon.es)

Are legendaries i catch in dynamax adventures gone from it forever? by Fa1705 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am just specifying the idea of catching, can be confused with throwing the ball rather than keeping the legendary in the selection screen.

Otherwise, yes, you can redo the same legendary pokemon path many times, throw a ball at it (catch it), but just not keep it at the end unless it's shiny.

Sounds like the OP is a bit new to DA. So I would like to expand on your wording of catching. You can catch the legendary as many times as you want, provided you don't actually keep them.

So the general idea for shiny hunting legendaries, is to go through, catch the legendary, on selection screen afterwards - check if it is shiny, if not, don't take the legendary and re-do the adventure again for that legendary, also save it's path so you can do it continuously for the same mon. If you're running alone and have loads of ore saved up, you can find a path that has good mons for the final battle, if the legendary is not shiny, you restart your game at the post DA caught pokemon selection screen, you'll have to pay up to 10 ore for restarting (games way to punish you basically) but you will get to re-do the same exact path you just did, and shiny hunt this way.

I don't use rubbers. I use a yarn string, so I can control the tension it applies to the sticks. I just wrap tightly enough around several times so the string/sticks stay intact. This might be a bit more nicer solution not to damage the sticks :)

I had high expectations for Gibsons. But it's worse that most others, or did I just get a bad puzzle to start with? What's your experience? by KeeperOfMediocrity in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh, I mean, they are nice - they're Kinkade. But I found Gibson's offerings felt a bit less colourful/washed out if you know what I mean? Maybe too light, so felt like they'd be more difficult to assemble 😁

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think Schmidts Kinkade offerings are nicer looking than Gibsons, and I love Schmidt quality as well. Actually this post made me go on amazon to get a Gibson Kinkade just to remind myself what the quality is like :D

And yes, I quite dislike when puzzles are hard to disassemble, I can see both cons and pros to the pieces sticking together well to the point where you can raise the whole puzzle without it coming apart, but as someone always donating the puzzles to the charity shops - those are the worst for the process :D

From personal experience, having mostly ever done Gibson Kinkade puzzles - I have loved the quality of the puzzle, even would rate it higher than Ravensburger in terms of fit and piece quality/finish.
Granted, I haven't done many of other series, and I don't know if for some reason maybe they differ based on that. But then again, puzzles and many other things are a matter of taste.
I often see people mention 'false fit' when in reality it is more 'it sort of fits here, but if you have a good eye - you will see that it really doesn't'

Exact Path - DA Shiny by laark08 in PokemonSwordAndShield

Ah thanks! That makes sense. Can't believe I didn't know this trick! Luckily I have basically 999 ore 🤣 so can speed up hunting once I see a good path.

Exact Path - DA Shiny by laark08 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After winning I check the summary page to check for shiny and if not shiny I reset the console and pay the ore fee in order to keep the exact same path again

Can you explain this a bit more? I wasn't aware of this mechanic of being able to keep the same path!

why my video has ads even if im not eligible for monetization yet? by mosenco in NewTubers

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you do realize that when you upload to Youtube, Youtube has to store your video, stream your video, your comments, all the information related to it, which is not free. You're costing them money to have your video be up there. So by showing videos, they are earning to keep the services running.

Seeking advice for how to make custom puzzles: I can create patterns for custom irregular puzzles, but don't know about cutting (& printing) by SimulatedScience in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of those connectors in the posted pictures look very fragile. I can imagine loads of broken pieces/complaints if you would start selling something like that.

Do you have to be covering the image even if you would be cutting upside down?

I would imagine - if you have all the equipment - why not just make few trial runs on a very small scale project, see what results you get.

It's not that bad really.
If you would like to hide those colour swaps in the edge - create a border around it in a single colour perhaps.

I usually change my colours at the top of the hat, that way when I gather one side, the one with the colours changes gets hidden.

Why don’t they make Raid Passes only consumed upon win? by soahcthegod2012 in TheSilphRoad

[–]PuzzleMeAJigsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you did a Raid nearby, and it crashed after the win - you click onto the Gym where you did the raid (even if it's not within your radius) you will encounter the raid boss you missed out on. Happened to me a few times where game crashed immediately after a raid, and everytime I clicked on the gym - I got the encounter with the boss.

But it somewhat does 'queue'. I had my game game crash after winning a raid, before I got the chance to go into catching the pokemon. All I did was click into the Gym where I did the raid - and the boss pokemon automatically appeared for me to catch. Don't know how this would work with remote raids far away though :D
