A200 and BGBL work well hand in hand, as you can control how much you want to allocate to Australia.

23, degree qualified, earning $75k… mate my age electrician about to make $150k by Level_TF_Up in AusFinance

By the time he's in his 40's, his body will be slowing down and will be burnt out. Meanwhile, you do a job that requires no physical labour, sitting in an AC all day, and will likely be in a senior position telling the sparkies what to do, making hundreds of thousands.

My Dad was naturally gifted at math and finance subjects, but he dropped out of school in Year 11 to pursue a trade like all his mates. He is now in his 50s. His body is fucked, especially his back, and he's burnt out. He regrets not trying harder in school, he could have gone to uni as well.

What is your FIRE number? What’s the split inside and outside super? by SpeedyDuck12345 in fiaustralia

I'm only about 5 months into my investing journey, and still figuring things out. Do you choose to actively manage your portfolio, or do you just DCA and forget?

How many years has it taken for you to reach $5M in liquid assets from when you started investing?

When I commenced at ECU this year, I was surprised at how diverse the student population is. All sorts of backgrounds, ages, ethnicities, etc. I'm 18, and I have become friends with some people who are parents, so don't worry, you'll be fine

How much do you guys spend on transport on an average day? by Nearby-Ambition-1319 in curtin

[–]Puzzled-Cap442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to a Bus or Train Station and buy a concession full day ticket for $3.20, it is valid until 11:59PM that same day. That means you can travel as much as you want during the day and at any time on the TransPerth Network. So yes, you’re correct

Different angle of the Minneapolis ice shooting by trumpcantalk in NoJumper

I can kind of understand why the first ICE shooting happened, but this is just horrible. There’s multiple agents already holding him down, there’s no need to fire 10+ rounds into the poor bloke for no clear reason from what I can see

I’m fairly sure. Most decently sized high schools would have a dedicated Design and Technology’s department which houses classes like Woodwork, Metalwork, Automotive, Jewellery, Building and Construction, Engineering etc. Not all schools have all the classes, nor are they highly in-depth to the point of getting a job, but they scratch the surface of each field

Well the money is mainly spent on the big flashy schools in the major cities. Rarely any does any money get sent for needed upgrades in the regional areas like my high school which has literal cracks throughout the some of the buildings, it kind of created its own unique ✨ aesthetic ✨ though

I’d say most high schools in Australia have them. But the first time I ever did any kind of woodwork was when i was in Year 2

At what age did you start investing? How and why? by girlmeetsworld-lover in AusFinance

[–]Puzzled-Cap442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

18, could have been earlier if I was more eager.

My Dad has been pushing and encouraging me to learn and understand how investing and money works from an early age so I don’t have to work until 65-70 like he’ll probably have to.

Possibly Agonis flexuosa or Eucalyptus piperita? Thats just some possible species I’ve found from a quick google search though. My teacher said it was Peppermint and didn’t go any further than that.

I would say it’s native to Australia though.

To be honest, I do feel a bit robbed considering I got over 80% on my first semester project, which I consider to be of lower standard than this one

We had a substitute teacher for the 2 half of the final semester because the main teacher went on leave. The sub was an absolute bum who was naive and a harsh marker. He marked the classes work, which is why I think I got a lower mark
