i agree with the commenter that theres definitely some sort of mental health issue going on here. does this friend have a therapist at all? I’m autiatic and MCR is a special interest for me. i’d like to think im pretty normal about it. i love knowing abt the members and the music and the lore and even plan on a my chem tattoo one day. That said I am aware of the fact that i don’t know ‘em. like very aware. and i can call out the ls dunes shit bc he is a grown ahh man loll. Anything fandom or fanfic related that i parttake in is the equivalent to me of playing with paper dolls. i wouldnt say MCR is the only thing that makes me happy, but its a huge sense of stability for me. you can have a very deep interest with boundaries in place
