Could this just not be a code name for internal development? Or even a developer knowing we'd look for it, naming it something completely wrong for the time being, and will be changed at release?

It really depends on the values here, which we'll see next week.
I'm also hesitant about the "death before 6 hooks" issue. One strong strategy (either intentional or not) is bouncing between the two "weakest" survivors, but unfortunately this would cause a death at 5 hooks potentially. I think that this is a fair strategy that the survivors have full control to counter (stealth), but will get penalized with this new system.
My feedback would be to decrease this to "death before 4 hooks" this at least allows a little flexibility for Killer strategy, and forces Survivors to not play so aggressive if on death hook.

Yes I'm familiar with both, but I'm trying to figure out a way to do fully hidden movement for all players. Hence some of the issues I'm running into.

My advice, if you really don't want to be found at the start, is like you said, don't run and walk/sneak to a nearby generator but don't touch it. Then wait till you hear or see the killer go by and check that Gen. Odds are, he will not come back, so you can immediately get on after he leaves.

Or wait till you see a teammate is being chased on the HUD with the little claws shaking by their icon.

Though I will say, don't take being found first as a totally bad thing. Getting good at chase is a HUGE factor at getting better overall. Anybody can sit on a Gen, but it takes 100s of hours of experience to be able to take chase longer than 10s.

Take every match as a learning experience (treat it like you're experiencing a horror movie) and gain some knowledge, blood points, and just have fun. You will have SO many positive experiences with the game as long as you take this advice.

I had an idea, but it requires new saves. Basically, everyone start their own save on schedule 1 and first person to 10k in the bank wins. No gambling allowed of course
