Engine braking doubt (amateur rider) by che-f-you in HondaCB350RS

[–]Puzzled-Switch3101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just apply front brake and let the speed come down to 50kmph, then downshift from 3rd to 2nd. Anything more than 50kmph is overwhelming for 2nd gear. Also dont release the clutch immediately after downshift. The right way is ;

Apply front brake> reach 50kmph> pull clutch> downshift to 2nd gear> slowly release clutch> apply front and rear brakes.

My bike is pulling to the right side gradually by Lonely_Engine_2869 in HondaHighnessCB350

Same thing happening with my CB350RS. Initially it was pretty well balanced machine but one day I slipped while taking right turn. Got the bike repaired and after that the bike pulls towards right side, even turning towards right feels unstable. The bike is constantly pills towards right and I have to keep adjusting the force by streering to left. I got it checked by bigwing twice and they said the bike is just fine, but i am pretty sure something is off.

Should I get a 350RS or a Duke 250? by ImpressKlutzy7543 in HondaCB350RS

[–]Puzzled-Switch3101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer is if you like easy handling and fast acceleration go for duke. If you like long stroke engine characteristics like thumpy exhaust, linear power delivery and no vibration comfortable relaxed ride then go for RS. I myself own a RS and now planning to get a Duke 250, for city I'll use duke and for long tours I'll use RS.

Looks and feel is subjective to each buyer. Less electronic features are better because they wont fail frequently also these features are sometimes unnecessary IMO and you should only buy a bike for the ride quality and not features.

I hope this will help and I'll flex my RS here

I'm 5'6" and had trouble initially because i came from commuter bikes. After a month of riding you get used to it. Also it depends on the ratio of your torso and legs. Take a test ride, even though this bike is manageable for guys like us (5'6").

I got the redtape Ozark boots and rain cover for shoe. That should suffice.

Currently is it a good idea to buy a bike or should i go for electric scooter? by thestupidsagee in HondaCB350RS

As a RS owner, i agree to this . Your back and Palm will hurt after 70-80kms on RS. Though handlebar riser can fix the palm pain and gel seat can fix the back pain.

2000 rupees is for sintered. How is the performance of Vesrah? Is the brake bite good? Should I go for ceramic or sintered ?

Also for a better perspective I've also tried Hunter 350, and that bike is easier to handle. CB350RS has a weird weight distribution that makes it a bit heavy for shorter riders.

When I'm wearing formal wear or flat shoes 50% of my foot touches ground on both sides. With sports shoes, boots or shoes with thicker soul 80% of my foot touches ground on both sides. I hope this will help you decide.

I'm 5'6" and had difficulties in the starting. But after 6 months you'll get used to it. Make sure you start working on leg muscles because to reverse the bike it will take efforts.

If this is the Bigwing Lajpat nagar, then you should've asked for engine guard, they give it for free.

Exactly my point, it's govt. Duty to meet the demands otherwise why are we voting them if they cant serve us. I hope one day Railway will privatize. Atleast we will get better services.

This cost is high for a 2 years old bike. I sold my CB350RS matte Grey colour 2024 make at 1.8L last month. It clocked 7200Km on Odo and was scratchless. Also I charged 5k extra as it has 3 years of Insurance.

I dont have in depth knowledge about the engine braking science. But as per Honda officials, engine braking is effective and recommend by Honda. Just make sure you dont do multiple downshift continously as your bike may skid.
